This is why I still teach logical fallacies, so students can be like “oh either/or reasoning, this is meant to manipulate me into thinking there are only two options when there are actually a whole hell of a lot.”

I keep seeing people say, oh, trans people must take a hit for the greater good and, first of all, no, you don't get to discard someone else's rights and second, we know from past experience that marginalized communities like theirs are merely the first to be targeted. They'll come for you next.

BREAKING: A court ruled that ICE can no longer detain immigrants in abusive conditions at 26 Federal Plaza while our case continues.

This ruling requires ICE to provide people detained at the facility access to hygiene products, sleeping mats, and free, confidential calls to their lawyers.
