AI has actively made life worse for literally everyone

- tech is now more expensive
- you cannot trust most media of reality anymore
- programs barely function
- energy prices
- literal psychosis
- your voice can be literally stolen for evil
- more spyware

but hey, you can avoid paying an artist.

I crave to do so much more than the 5 current WIPs already on my plate

But I must stop myself. For now 👀

I didn't get in, but I'm still gonna finish this sculpture 💪🏻😤🪡
Submitting an art proposal to a gallery with media you're still in the process of exploring is intimidating. How do I show examples of work like the piece I'm proposing... when they don't exist (yet)? 😅

This is the thread for my minicomic, Into the Bladelands! I will be posting updates of anywhere from 2-4 pages here, hopefully to be finished before the end of the year.

Sky disappears. Ari gets left behind. Five years later, the door to the Bladelands opens again.

What if. *sighs dreamily*

Thiiiiiis! (Also this whole thread is great)
Being hopeful is not naive, it's necessary. This work is not about how much we hate capitalism, but about how much we love each other. It's about wanting better conditions for each other so badly that we're willing to dedicate at least some part of every single day to that outcome.

By far the biggest plus to working on this new sculpture is that it's finally forcing me to unpack and organize so I can actually find all my tools and supplies 💀

Oh, I'm crocheting? I need to get this skein into a cake. Where's my yarn winder? Somewhere...

Wondering what percentage of a soft sculpture has to be soft in order for it to count as "soft sculpture". Is it based on vibes?

I'll never know.*

(*I don't care enough to look it up, if there actually is an answer)

You can argue "death of the artist" and "separate the art and the artist" as much as you wish -- it doesn't mean folks won't see you giving a powerful TERF activist cash for nostalgia. There's no mental gymnastics around that.

There are better fictional worlds out there than her small-minded one.
Hey yall not what I wanted to do on my birthday but let it be clear

"Death of the artist" is all well & good but you cannot Seperate the art from the artist when the artist is still alive, a terf & every penny they recieve reinforces their beliefs & is used to actively harm Trans folks!

Let it Go!

To my fellow NSFW writers and artists, queer or not, PLEASE keep calling your lawmakers and tell them to vote 'NO' on KOSA (Kids Online Safety Act), as well as other horrible censorship bills like the SCREEN Act and IODA (Interstate Obscenity Definition Act) that will fucking ruin our lives!
www.badinternetbills.com#stop-csam

In addition to calling your reps, this website has both a lot of information explaining why these bills are bad/ why section 230 must be protected, as well as petitions to sign for each individual issue!

Signing petitions helps! Make your calls, sign petitions!

The mass murder of civilians in order to maintain the economy is an ongoing moral injury that is only compounding with time and Americas inability to talk about and process grief
The necropolitics of Covid were the trigger for and normalization of the eugenic of today and the mass murder of tomorrow
Every time Covid and learning loss hits the news, people act like the only factor is folk staying home and learning online, rather than… Living through a global mass death event.

Can't help but think about the labor camps Utah is building *right fucking now* (they're calling it "work-conditioned housing", but make no mistake on what they actually are)
This is far worse than anyone expected.

Trump's HUD plan would cut *two-thirds* of permanent housing and push as many as 170,000 formerly homeless people back onto the street—redirecting funds to work mandates, forced treatment, and encampment sweeps.

All as mass internment camps are being built.

This is the facility that I and many others have been protesting. We’ve been hit, thrown, gassed, and shot with pepper bullets but none of that holds a candle to what is being done to people *in* the actual facility.

Read this thread. Don’t look away. Keep your eyes and the pressure on Broadview.
A family friend was telling us about what her husband shared about his experience in Broadview before he was deported back to Mexico. She's been sharing to friends and family because she's just in disbelief & horror what her husband told her. She wasn't able to talk to him until he was in Mexico.

Mutual aid should be a threat to the state, not a substitute for its “failures.” It is saying “the state does not do this & will not do this because it is built to oppress & exploit.” Mutual aid is a radical act of caring for each other outside of those systems of oppression.

Stories like this around people rising to meet the SNAP crisis are easy to frame as inspirational and I appreciate the reporting here that stresses that this is a crisis of the government's making with long-term consequences that individuals alone cannot fix.
As SNAP benefits run dry, 'grocery buddies' are footing their neighbors' food bills
With federal food aid frozen during the government shutdown, there has been a wave of people rushing to help — sending gift cards or buying groceries for SNAP recipients in their community.
