Not the most important thing but Castle Fun Park hasn’t fully recovered from the 2021 flood!

In the film, Neeson—a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador—calls the COVID-19 vaccines “dangerous experiments.”

I very recently commented on this very platform that I don't love the Line, which I don't. But I do rather love this piece.

I'm broadly okay with having seven followers, but this is one of those rare occasions when I wish I had more--specifically, more Americans. Because Americans should read this.

Obviously the Christmas party at Fozziewig’s Rubber Chicken Factory.
What's a fictional holiday party you would love to attend?

My answers:

--the Christmas party from Fanny and Alexander
--the Yule feast in Nicola Griffith's Hild
--the Baileys' "welcome home" party for Harry in It's a Wonderful Life
--the office party in Die Hard; I'm sure nothing will go wrong

Kudos to the person who added “professionally” to the front of “incapacitation” because that’s an interesting attempt to shoehorn in an unrelated meaning and game recognize game.
For those curious about the Conservative Party saying they've removed John Rustad for "professional incapacitation", here's the relevant part of their constitution.

One imagines the board giving legal cover by saying "incapacitation" can involve being "professionally unable to carry out duties".

I can’t possibly determine whether the MOU is bad or fine from a policy perspective but this seems relevant.
Let's see this analysis.

Blake Shaffer and Andrew Leach -- actual economists -- wrote a piece back in 2023 arguing that an industrial carbon price of $170 per tonne would do almost all the work of the Clean Electricity Standard.

Armando Iannucci just throws up arms in disbelief.
While Cabinet members praise his energy and fitness, Trump sleeps.

No satire in the history of film and television has ever been this on the mark.
Trump dozes while Marco Rubio speaks to him directly next to him. Just insane optics.
