still remember this Wayne Drehs story on Rod Beck for ESPN in 2003 when he was coming back from Tommy John surgery. Drove through the minors in his motorhome, which he would park at whatever stadium he was playing, and occasionally hung out with fans after games

the most important baseball skills for a position player are 1) hitting the ball 2) catching the ball 3) making sure your helmet goes flying off every time you do something
