Some have contacted the FCC over Crunchyroll, but many haven't referenced shows that previously aired on TV, & they won't act unless the show was televised. However, we've found at least with Mobile Suit Gundam & Iron Blooded Orphnans that HAVE aired on TV. Start with those 2 shows as reference.
I believe a strong case could be made that CR's egregiously sloppy captions on so many shows violate FCC regulation 47 C.F.R. § 79.1(j)(2), (3), and (k), per the CVAA act of 2010, which applies to streaming.
It may be time for people to start bombarding the FCC Consumer Complaint Form.

this is AMAZING localization!
No idea why but for the last few months I've been on a Beast Wars kick rewatching clips on YouTube, looking at the IDW run again and wanting to reread it, and just trying to get the characters I'm missing to complete to complete the line. It really is a period of untapped potential for story telling

My favorite part about this joke is that an actual artist had to go out of their way to draw this. They didn't take the easy way out and actually use an AI generated image, they had an actual artist make a parody of AI art. And the joke is way better because of it.
