The DC public golf courses are what golf *should* be in America and *is* in Scotland, Ireland, and England. They are communal treasures and the opposite of the kind of golf elitism that makes most of Bluesky hate golf. You do not want these courses to get ransacked unless you're just performing
very specific to DC complaint here but when trump is threatening to take over the city's historically significant public golf courses so he can privatize them and make them another getaway for the 1% i don't think going "well maybe they shouldnt be golf courses to begin with" is helpful or realistic

The anti-MAHA messaging really needs to play this up. Do you realize the infant mortality rate in the US less than 100 years ago was over 60 per 1000 births and now it's down to 5.47 per 1000.
Also formula is a medical miracle. Babies used to just fucking starve to death!

Breaking News: A federal vaccine committee voted to end the decades-long recommendation that all newborns be immunized at birth against hepatitis B, a highly infectious virus that leads to chronic liver disease in most infected children.
An End to Hepatitis B Shots for All Newborns
A federal panel voted on Friday to recommend halting the at-birth shots for all infants, in a step toward Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s goal of upending the nation’s vaccine policy.

each passing day/week/year i feel incredibly lucky to have had our kid when we did. young enough he didn't have to deal with later-grade covid school disruptions, old enough to have gotten vaccines that are now under attack by absolute maniacs.
A federal advisory panel with power over vaccine policy has voted to stop recommending a universal newborn shot to prevent the hepatitis B virus, which causes liver disease — a major shakeup to the childhood vaccine schedule under Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr.
Vaccine advisory panel votes to end universal newborn hep B shot in major shakeup
Parents appear to be able to continue to get the hep B vaccine for their kids, but the move could cause confusion among families and logistical barriers for health providers.

Even with the price change, Baseball Prospectus is underpriced considering all you get. Coverage that's free from the influence of the league, a sportsbook, or some private equity ghoul is so important, and it's exactly what you get when you support sites like BP.
hey everyone, today we're announcing something at BP that is both long overdue and something I wish we could keep holding off on, but the reality is we can't: a price change to our subscription.

We'll continue to provide one of the best value props out there, and keep earning your support.
BP Announcement: Forthcoming Price Change for BP Memberships | Baseball Prospectus

I think we can safely say that the Leavitt's brother called ICE on his ex, the mother of his child, and I have to say: I have no desire to respect, find common ground or share the country with these monsters.
“After Ferreira was detained, Dos Santos Rodrigues said Michael Leavitt Sr. and his father, Bob Leavitt, reached out to her.”

“‘They just kept saying, ‘Tell her to self-deport,’” she recalled. “Self-deport to where? Brazil is not her home.’” www.bostonglobe.com/2025/11/26/m...
