23, he/him, I'm a dragon but you can't always tell in person.

I think about Spectrobes at least once per day

🐲Happy Year of the Dragon, y’all! 🐉

🧧🎊 May your year be full of abundance and fiery energy

And don’t call it Chinese New Year because that erases other cultures celebrating the same holiday

@neilhimself.neilgaiman.com Hi, hope it's fine to tag you directly, you seem friendly and I don't presume you bite.

I am writing a prologue for a novel today, and I wondered if it would be too much information to introduce my pro- AND deuteragonist in the same part. Could you weigh in on this?

Gong hei fat choy, and happy year of the dragon!
This is the year I make my work known, my dragons I have worked on for so long. We're going for a story of lightning and thunder, perseverance under blazing suns, and love and compassion for each others' precious lives. Hope to write soon! #authorsky

HELLOOOOO AUTHOR SIDE OF BSKY!
My name is Leonidas, and boy, do I have the dragons for you.
Dragon popularity has never been higher, but do you ever wish your dragons used neopronouns and lived on an alien planet? OF COURSE YOU DO! That's what I want to bring to the table. Agenders rejoice! #author

I've just been commissioned to write a very tame and sweet fanfiction, so, that's the highlight of my day.

I agree, meet your heroes. A week ago, I attended Anime Washington in Tacoma and met Yuri Lowenthal. He was a really great guy, he seemed almost as excited to see the Spectrobes: Origins case I handed him as I was to have it autographed. It literally made my entire week. I'm still smiling now.
I met Don Bluth today at Megacon Orlando. I told him about how my parents gave me $20 for my eighth birthday and I blew it all playing Dragon's Lair at the arcade.

He looked me in the eye and said "I lost a lot of money on that game too."

Meet your heroes, kids.

SOME GUY: You think you're in pain now? Wait until you're older!

ME: Ahhh, thank you, I am cured

Since total strangers can see my posts here, allow me to formally introduce the world to the Rhaka, my magnum opus, which I have been developing under wraps for nearly a decade. I feel the time is right to begin sharing this with the world. (More posts pending. Woe betide my followers.)

By the way, bsky people, I'm an aspiring author preparing to write about genderless space dragons in love. So, if that's your flavor, give it a follow and I'll feed you a neat fact now and then.

All these people talking about how writing is dead, books are dead. Bullshit.

Corporations are attempting to exploit writers and turn them into marketers precisely because writing/books are NOT dead, because writers are good at what they do and people are hungry — will always be hungry—for stories.

YESSS This is the intersection we need!!
One of the things I think about a lot is that labor and climate justice are closely related, and I wish we talked about it more: one of the best things we can do for the planet is set things up so that people don’t work too much.

Friendly tip: that mask you wear/wore for Covid? It works great to prevent irritation/migraine while using household cleaners, like bleach products for your shower which you all are thinking about cleaning right now

I really do think the most insidious aspect of their rhetoric transphobes have mainstreamed is the notion trans people are a "contagion," because if you told most people the NYT published a 4500 word diatribe comparing trans people to a contagion they'd rightly be as horrified as I am

For a small fee, I will approach your enemy in front of a large social gathering and loudly ask, “So how is the book coming?”
For a small fee, I will attend your enemy's International Relations talk and go full comparativist on them
For a small fee, I will attend your enemy’s political science talk and offer evidence that contradicts their conclusions from wildly outside the scope of their study.
