I can't get over how much it feels like a genuine insult that our culture has normalized the idea that the "religious beliefs" of illiterate morons like this are actually perfectly legitimate political ideas that deserve to be taken seriously, and that you're intolerant if you think otherwise.

Once you finally begin to recognize us first and foremost as women, this is really all you need to understand about us.
This understanding of why, precisely, the global reactionary wave is so fixated on trans people and trans womanhood particularly, is incredibly lacking amongst even many feminist commentators. Trans women are being made the face of a worldwide right-wing "common enemy" to retrench Nationalism.
