YES YES YES YES YES welcome ‘em back welcome ‘em in we’ve all been dummies about something
It's actually a good thing that previously apolitical normies are finally getting angry and starting to speak out. We need the numbers in the streets and at the polls.

If your response to them is "no, fuck you, too late," then you don't actually care about stopping Trump. You're just preening.

The message from the White House this morning is that, once again, it falls on ordinary American citizens to remain calm and professional when dealing with the heavily armed agents of the government because they are very emotional and might fly off into a murderous rage at the slightest insult.

It’s funny how Stephen King in his early years was viewed by critics at the time as populist entertainment, and not “serious.” 50 years later, he’s our Dickens. And probably our most political writer, because his politics is the politics of real, working-class people. It’s lived-in.

My feelings exactly. Superman was my favorite movie of the year (because I’m a comics dork and it was a great superhero hero movie), but Sinners was the best movie I saw in 2025.
Finally watched One Battle After Another and I don't know if it was the best movie of the year, but it definitely felt like the movie that best captured the current mood

The “if she had complied, she’d still be alive” line that we’re hearing from ICE defenders is the mantra of apologists for security forces in dictatorships through the ages.

Thinking of Chicago police officer Jason VanDyke right now and how he was jailed for murder after killing Laquan McDonald.

Federal cops are still cops. They're not magically exempt from the law.

This was sent after the Packers’ special-teams aided loss at Soldier Field this season.

No, the other one.
For the better part of 15 years, the Green Bay Packers have as an organization neglected address special teams with any sort of investment. A repeated Laissez-faire attitude to an entire phase of the game. It's cost them dozens of games, including playoffs. They fail to address it. It's baffling.

Many ICE officers appear to be white supremacists who were unable to obtain jobs in other branches of law-enforcement. Some liberal critics say that’s a bad thing.
