Networking doesn't mean schmoozing up to famous people, it means making friends with your peers. Then in 10 years, 20, one of you might be famous? And sure you're still helping each other cus well yeah friends.

Talking to one of these types at a con who asked how I 'got in' with so many 'famous writers' who I'd been talking to and I said "we made friends before anyone knew who we were decades ago by striking up interesting conversations and enjoying each other's company" and he kept re-asking the question.

While I don't 100% agree with the "never" Newsome sentiment, I DO 1000% agree that NOW is the time to seek better candidates. We're literally years away from the 2028 primary, now is NOT the time to fall in line behind any candidate.
He's not a god king who is divinely owed a throne, he is a man who might run for president in a primary that is years away. Now is the exact time for us to be shouting from the rooftops that transphobes won't get our vote so we demand other candidates.
"How can you say you're never voting for Newsom? You're handing the election to the GOP!"
Because I don't vote for Republicans, ever. Newsom is a racist, transphobic, genocide supporting Republican. Ergo, I am not voting for him. Find me someone who isn't a Republican and I'll consider them.

It is not accurate to report that “millions will pay double what they are paying now” for health insurance. That is impossible. Those millions cannot afford to pay that and will not do what they cannot do. Millions of Americans do NOT HAVE an extra $1,200/ month just lying around.

Since folks are sharing UB positivity, all my real-life friends dropped out of Magic by 2012.
All are back within the last two years, because of Universes Beyond sets. And some of their kids. And some new ones picked it up for the first time.
