A friend in Minneapolis just sent me this video. Looks like thousands have come together for a vigil after an ICE agent shot and killed 37-year-old Renee Nicole Good. This was my neighborhood for several years before coming to Portland.

If I hear another commentator today refer to the "Secretary of War" without any mention that the title has no basis in law and is Hegseth's made up attempt to label himself a very special boy I will fling myself into the sea. (So instead I'll turn off the news.)

I know being hopeful is a fool's errand sometimes when you are a Democrat, but in my heart I do believe that a lot of progressives all over the country smell blood in the water (in a good way) and feel HUGE momentum behind not just flipping R seats, but knocking out weak Dem establishment dinosaurs

Sincerely, if I was a Dem executive and had an idea this was going to happen, I’d deploy armed officers to bar any intruders from the citizenship ceremony until it was complete. A sacred space and a sacred obligation, and letting fascist goons pick people off at the front door is an abomination
