Truthfully, the sooner we stop thinking of it as ”college” sports and more as “minor league“ sports, the better we’ll be. There’s really no connection between the players and the larger student body or traditions any longer.

It’s a nitty thing, but language matters and I’d like to see the language of college sports updated. It’s not the “portal“; it’s free agency. They’re not ”transfers”: they’re free agents. No one is getting “recruited“ any more. They’re being signed to one-year contracts for good money.

Sure, why not. Full disclosure: I've never used ChatGPT in any component of my professional output, or for personal amusement, and I never will. It is an intellectual carcinogen and my disdain for it and its advocates is absolute.
Maybe it will help a _little_ if I and others like me start saying publicly for the record that we just don’t use ChatGPT.

Writing can be really hard — organizing a piece of writing can be especially hard — but I don’t use ChatGPT.

If you read my stuff you’re reading something an LLM can’t do.

Compared with any other major country, the United States has been extremely fortunate in its two immediate neighbors, Canada and Mexico.

Now, incredibly, it is declaring economic war on both of them. This is a war no one can win, and from which tens of millions will lose.

This is insanity.
