That the UK - one of the architects of this fund, designed to save the world’s forests - is now refusing to put any money into it is frankly shameful. Starmer’s claim that he still continues to back the fund is meaningless without resources - so much for climate leadership

On 13 January 2025, Keir Starmer announced his flagship policy for Britain’s “AI revolution”: AI Growth Zones.
⚠️WARNING ⚠️
These zones are deregulated corporate playgrounds. Communities pay for soaring bills, environmental devastation, with zero democratic say.

This really is poorly thought through.

If you are going to do a per mile charge it should be for all vehicles. Petrol is undercharged in comparison to its negative impacts.

And it's a phenomenally bad idea to create additional psychological barriers to owning EVs.

The thing about keeping the same advisors and the same policies as the last government is it's so convenient, isn't it. You can ignore the WHO and the crisis in children's health and blame it on lockdowns, and you don't need to do anything — not ventilate, not vaccinate, nothing.

UK Covid Inquiry (paraphrased)

We didn’t think too much about the “science” of health risks to children’s or making schools safer to protect them.. because “politics”- the government was worried about the economy & wanted the schools open
Q- Was there any realisation on your part that this could have profound implications for children?

A - The whole government policy - was about maintaining both the economy and schools to be open. I do not believe that significant weight was attached to scientific advise.

Or maybe we could protect them & many other children by putting clean air in schools. And regular Covid vax, where are they this year?

It’s so unusual 🤔 Guessing high supply/low demand:
* Shelters are overflowing right now
* People are hunkering down & saying “not now”
* Maybe folks just aren’t aware how adorably perfect this bonded pair is?!? 😻

Many things will affect how well a student will do in school. Some you can control, others you can't

One that affects every student (and teacher), and that we can control, is indoor air quality

In this video I walk through how and offer some solutions
