I too am an AI hater, and proud fuckin' of it
I applaud and second this wholeheartedly and I'm coming out as an unabashed AI hater. In the immortal words of Guillermo del Toro: Fuck AI.

I am an AI hater. This is considered rude, but I do not care, because I am a hater.

I'm watching Eden now and there's three Oscar nominees (Jude Law, Vanessa Kirby, Ana de Armas) and certainly a future nominee (Daniel Bruhl), and then there's Sydney Sweeney ... she's had a great agent, that's for sure
Now after yet another movie of hers put up single digit numbers, she’s out here like “perhaps…I have been rash”

Netflix, which rarely carries a single movie from before 1980, wants you to know how thrilled they are to acquire that classic piece of franchise IP, Casablanca

We Should Have Finished Reconstruction: A Brief History Of American Politics, 1865-2025
While the outcome should be clear from the plain text of the Constitution, the central project of this court and Administration, together, is to nullify the reconstruction amendments
The Supreme Court Friday agreed to decide whether President Donald Trump can unilaterally limit the constitutional right to citizenship granted to virtually every person born in the United States. www.democracydocket.com/news-alerts/...

I would add watching a movie or show at anything other than normal speed is also not experiencing it. If you aren't going to meet art and artists where they want, why even bother trying to engage in the first place? To check a box on a scorecard no one else cares about?

Sometimes the kids are wrong

But what of the fate of the Heavyweights/Dodgeball cinematic universe?
Bizarrely, Elizabeth Warren's mailing list email opposing the Netflix/Warner Bros acquisition is all about monopolies and anti-trust regulation, listing 19 blockbuster shows (and a bunch of movie franchises) that would now be owned by the same company, NONE OF WHICH is "Ballers."

I for one would like the sun to take a few days off every once in a while
"The sun rises. It's always doing that."

Did anyone edit this book or did it just go straight from her phone dictation app to print?
At least 40% of the book is just tortured descriptions of her surroundings.

I just think everyone needs to see Stegosaurus every now and then. Makes everyone happier 😊 This is an illustration of my licensing library and is available for non exclusive licensing.

MAGAs' favorite Christmas Carol:

🎶 He knows when you are sleeping
He knows when you're awake
He knows when you've been up or not
So be up for Trumpness saaaaake! 🎶
Why do Trump's supporters shrug off his falling asleep during meetings? Because they've convinced themselves that "Trump never sleeps." They think he works 20 hours a day and has limitless energy. It seems he does not, but reality doesn't intrude on their sycophantic worship.

I dunno if Slings & Arrows is "weird" exactly, I'm Shakespeare biased, but it would never have been made by a network in the US, even IFC, which aired it here
I think if Canada wants to have a strong cultural identity we need to go back to doing what we're best at, making the weirdest fucking TV shows you've ever seen

I think they take the real polls and just flip them upside down. They're far too lazy and incompetent to make their own charts
oh this is absolutely what i think. i think they feed him fake polls and outright AI slop
At this point, I wonder if he isn't lying when he says he has "my highest Poll Numbers, ever" since it's entirely possible that's what his aides are telling him. It's quite likely that there's an entire Potemkin village built around Trump right now.
