Reagan’s words about tariffs are going viral after Trump’s insistence that they are “fake” created a “Streisand Effect”
Here’s the original clip of Ronald Reagan from April 25, 1987, where he delivered a complete and total rebuke against tariffs. Trump's calling Reagan’s words here “FAKE” and “fraudulent.” They’re 100% real. And the original clip is actually far worse for Trump, as much is left out of the ad:

No, the meeting did not go badly for Ukraine. It exposed in the most undeniable, unequivocal way possible the pro-Putin commitments of the president and vice president. That was information Americans and allies needed to have clear before them.

This happened the same day the Republicans on the House Judiciary Committee rick-rolled their base over the Epstein Files.

Almost seems like a deliberate effort to troll the rubes who believed them.
You can’t make this stuff up. Trump supporters spent the past few years obsessing over an apparent sex trafficking cabal in charge of our country. And yet one of the first things Trump seems to have done, apparently, is push to get the Tates, charged with sex trafficking, released from Romania.
Andrew Tate and His Brother Are Said to Leave Romania for the U.S.
Andrew and Tristan Tate, the online influencers, are facing investigations in Romania and Britain, including accusations of human trafficking and sex crimes.

A few things to know about the USPS: no tax dollars go to fund USPS. We only recently stopped giving the Fed $5B before profits annually. Letter Carriers have now worked over 600 days without a contact & pay raises have been 1/3 the national average over 20 years. SEND HELP! #lawfirms

Reminder: The US's entire economy is 100% reliant on US mail being independent, impartial, and reliable. I'm not joking, the ENTIRE economy functions off its back, even the sectors where you think it wouldn't.

If USPS collapses, absolutely nothing will continue to function, and I do mean that.
Breaking news: Trump is preparing to dissolve the leadership of the U.S. Postal Service and absorb the independent mail agency into his administration, potentially throwing the mail provider and trillions of dollars of ecommerce transactions into turmoil.
Trump expected to take control of USPS, fire postal board, officials say
The move threatens to upend trillions of dollars in ecommerce business and the 250 year-old Postal Service.

The USPS is an essential service for all Americans.

It is not meant to turn a profit.

Yet, it was indeed profitable, until the GOP shit it up.
Ah yes, the party of business and commerce.

And yes there are other carriers (DHL, UPS, FedEx), but USPS often is either a last mile carrier, or interacts with these carriers sometimes for international packages.

Fun fact: the USPS delivers to every address in the US.

PO Box for someone with unstable housing? ✔️
Tiny post office on an island in the Bering Sea? ✔️
Big ass ranch in the middle of nowhere OK where the mailbox is a mile from the house? ✔️

FedEx, UPS, etc...aren't required to cover these!

The Constitution gives Congress power to establish the U.S. Postal Service.

It did, by law, during the
Washington administration. Its status as an independent agency was established by Congress in law.

USPS is wildly popular with the American people and its service is essential and irreplaceable.
📬🚨 HUGE NEWS 📬🚨

Trump plans to fire the USPS governing board, merge the Postal Service into the Commerce Department.

It would disrupt 55 years of non-political mail service, and threatens to upend trillions of dollars of ecommerce and the 250 year-old US mail system.

* first awarded under Trump
* paid to Reuters' data division, not the newsroom
* for researching *defenses* against deception
* not revealed by "DOGE investigations" and was a public record, visible online for many years
