Democrats love praising Republicans, who in turn tell the world that Democrats are all filthy demons.

Absolutely deranged behavior.

Watching the Netflix Hersh documentary and of course American media has never been good but it’s so depressing how much worse our media is at covering foreign policy/affairs now.

One thing I’ve had consistently reinforced since working for the government is that attorneys can be the absolute best and worst of humanity but all them are the absolute worst administrators and managers.

Every single Republican right now is such a shit-eating annoying freak that the bar has never been lower for Dems. This guys policies are pretty standard for anyone left of center, but for some reason the Dems act like he's Mao. Mind-boggling!!!

Oh hey would you look at that. The Discourse is exactly as stupid and inane as it has been for the last near decade.

It’s so funny that they chose to publish this despite the obvious likelihood that more photos would come out.
Noam Chomsky’s emails to Jeffrey Epstein display none of the fawning chatter found from, say, Larry Summers. And he does not appear to have been co-opted by whatever access Epstein provided.

What the Noam Chomsky–Jeffrey Epstein E-mails Tell Us
Chomsky has often suffered fools, knaves, and criminals too lightly. Epstein was one of them. But that doesn’t mean Chomsky was part of the “Epstein class.”

It’s a little bit funny that the Calvinist churches I grew up in always emphasized that god doesn’t actively, directly punish people for specific sins they commit and then they all voted for a guy that says “no actually he does but only when it’s about me.”

almost like those were all fun little lies we told ourselves to coverup the fact that this system we live under is broken to the core and always has been and now that this is being exposed as deeply broken and fascist, we have to race for a new narrative to accommodate, many such cases

the actual story here, which the media never talks about, is that police in this country have become a discrete right-wing political operation. the story isn't about cops leaving (they're lying about that), it's about the police trying to exert influence over elections.
Lmao is this supposed to be a bad thing?

the idea that your heart should not break for Palestinians isn’t really tenable anymore, so now we get the suspicion that your sympathy might be exploited by malicious actors
i can understand being skeptical of alleged palestinian accounts asking for donations. i can understand not giving them money and ignoring or even blocking them. but i dont really understand the need to actively lecture everyone that the accounts are all scams, especially when you yourself dont know
