I simply do not believe they would have resigned if it was a misleading claim about someone on the left.

How is this different to the HIGNFY claims about digital ID a few weeks ago? The BBC literally laughed it off.

Mark Urban “ BBC has become for want of a better word far too “woke” . Mmmh interested how he defines “woke” ?! Especially as it’s the buzz word of the populist right !

Appalled to hear that the so-called "Trump insurrection", for which the House of Representatives voted to impeach him in January 2021, was actually a hoax created by a BBC documentary made in 2024 and transmitted back in time by woke scientists and the deep state
“The BBC didn’t get January 6 wrong. It should be brave enough to say so. Whoever wrote the internal report seen by The Telegraph is either malign or mistaken. The way it has been weaponised to attack the BBC shows the folly of trying to appease Team Trump, or to negotiate with them in good faith.”
The BBC was right about the Capitol riots. In a sane world, Trump would be in jail
Trump faced impeachment over the riots, and in a world where Republicans had more courage, he would have been found guilty

On my dog walk I often chat with right wingers. I pretend I am an ex-Reform voter put off by the utter fuck up of our county council. Then they see me as one of their own, don't get defensive and shouty, and start to question their own opinion of Reform. Honey, not vinegar.

Is there a prominent Brexiter left who hasn’t torn off their mask to reveal the rancid racism beneath? Boris Johnson’s chief fluffer accusing anyone else of being over-promoted is peak process. The bitterness of insanely privileged men with empty souls knows no bounds.
For anyone still tempted to take Dominic Cummings at all seriously, he's now an advocate of Donald Trump-style open racism.

We’ve made this investigation free to read because so many people in Sheffield are affected by this story.

Our journalists have been knocking on doors for weeks and we’ve had to employ lawyers because of the legal threats made against us.

We can only do this kind of journalism with your support.
“It broke my heart, that was my savings towards a new car,” one woman who paid Milne tens of thousands of pounds told us. “He has just wiped me out.”

Who is Andrew Milne - the solicitor sending "very aggressive" letters to Sheffield homeowners?

A London lawyer bought hundreds of Sheffield freeholds. Then the ‘very aggressive’ letters arrived

Lowe doesn't need the money but the 'thrill' of engagment can be just as corrupting as the love of cash & if engagement/cash increase according to the extremity of the opinions expressed then you need integrity to resist the temptation to become ever more offensive. This is what Musk has engineered.
Human trafficking.

Rupert Lowe makes more money from using Elon Musk’s website than any other MP.

There is money to be made from mass deportations and talking about mass deportations.

Par for the course for Labour it would seem ,the course being to echo not only the sentiments but possibly the actions of the far right ,in their determined path to electoral extinction !
Drives me mad that people talk about Danish immigration policy as a *political* success without bothering to look at the polls.
Aside from the crucial voting system difference, the Social Democrats over this period have haemorrhaged votes to progressive parties and are currently on course for their worst result in 110yrs, while the Green Left are set for their best ever.

The Danish People's Party are currently gaining.

Michael Prescott was ‘“shocked” that after an hour-long Panorama documentary dealing with Trump and the January 6 insurgency, there was no “similar, balancing” programme about Kamala Harris.’

More read about the machinations between the BBC resignations, the more worrying it becomes
The departure of Tim Davie and Deborah Turness means the BBC is leaderless when it needs leadership more than ever. Where are the people at the head of the BBC standing up for it?

Unacceptable. There are 189,000 people in my district who will be paying 50–300% more for the same, and in many cases worse, healthcare.

I won’t do that to the people I represent. I’m a NO on this “deal.”
