The only way the next democratic administration is going to do anything even somewhat resembling reforming and rooting out lawless thugs from ICE and elsewhere is due to sustained popular pressure. Otherwise, the instinct from the Dem elite to just turn the page and move on is going to be massive

As a principled libertarian, I believe that anyone who doesn't immediately do what ICE says should be shot dead. And as a principled states' rights advocate, I believe that the federal government should not allow states to prosecute these shootings.

Finally, the NYT time-synched the grainy video Trump posted -- which some claim shows Good's SUV striking the officer -- with footage from closer angles. This makes clear that the SUV did not strike the officer.
That in itself doesn't mean the shooting was illegal. But it's an important corrective.
