When learning advanced avionics the airplane is a poor place to learn. The right sim is a better option—but not all are created equal. What's the scoop behind the claim? actually more annoyed, if anything. avionics aren't cheap, and they only just finished shaving down that canopy glass

Had a phone call with a friend of mine who works as an avionics contractor of some sort for UPS about a half hour ago. Super shook up. He had just walked out of a hanger and saw the whole thing happen and has been there for hours with his crew. As bad as it is, it could have been even worse.

I punched the medic who upended the bottle of iodine into the hole though, lol
As for shooting back, it's not comparable. You were a marine. I was an RAF avionics specialist sent to recover a Harrier with bad intel. I shouldn't have been there at all.

The fact that it’s outlined… is so…. Yikes! I hope you blocked that one… seriously.
Big “GET OUT” vibes.
Nevermind the fact he’s trying to tell a goddess like you— sorry IJS—You’re already perfect to me, even if all I knew about you was that you were an avionics geek; I’d still think so. 🫶🏻

1. Just like how actual military aircraft work. It’s going to be a lame mix of analog/digital systems that interact with terrible software that has to be robust and meet a million regulations so not that different than current avionics but just funkier controls.

Look at the existing avionics of aircraft, systems of AFVs and combat management systems of surface ships and submarines for guidance.
The larger the robot, the more like a ship or submarine, the smaller more like an AFV or fighter aircraft.

Guy compared a flight termination system to a light bulb and an avionics box to his iphone. Also argued with a chess grandmaster that he's a nobody because his iphone can allegedly play better than him. Currently surprised by the complexity of human hand dexterity.

That seems doable. There are (or were) requirements like that for avionics equipment when I worked in that field.
Had to keep all development, testing, paperwork, and maintenance equipment for as long as any device was in use.

I mainly learned Avionics but never worked on an actual living jet or anything. When I got out women weren't being hired in avionics so I worked at banks. Ended up retiring in 2018 as a HR and Payroll Director!
