Reached my biggest milestone so far today: #vibbles are now able to actually play midi notes on their chosen instrument! I can listen to them in Bitwig!

Only took 2 months and ~5500 lines of code 😅

Super fun first day back of teaching audio programming today here at UWE!

Spent the day looking at basic audio plugin development in JUCE. And what better way to test our plugins than to make a racket with a bunch of awesome instruments!

Here's a weird problem I had to solve!

I wanted the 1-bit mode to sound correct both in stereo and mono 🎧

At first I just averaged the signals, but notice below how the sounds cancel out, so it's no longer 1-bit!

The trick was to alternate each bit :D

half way there to finish the book, but this could be a little plugin monstrosity on its own (I know, it's only a simple feedback delay). Already seen this as a future #GameAudio plugin.
