I’d have to crunch the numbers. Advocates say the problem crosses socioeconomics

when will helios release a novel or something explaining the socioeconomics of their society bc theres no way they can function like this. theres too many families with kids with apparently no jobs other than parenting + the heroes be doing like a good 40% of the jobs here idk man

We’re discussing socioeconomics, not personal financial decisions. This isn’t natural. The private ownership of corporations for profit is established by the state, and it’s just frankly a bad system. Look at how much money is being set on fire for useless simulacrums of laborers.

*Nodding understandingly re overcompensation & socioeconomics*

Romance novels. Interesting. I’ve got some cuttings prepared fo collaging also!!!

French reawakening is lovely. I think now is a good time for that. I love these things for you.

i bring a kind of "exploring the socioeconomics and politics of being a furry" to the vibe that people don't like because it reminds people that many of the aspects of being a furry are heavily intertwined with inequality, unequal access to goods and capital, and the capitalist system more generally

At 82, he’s as fit as a 20-year-old. His body holds clues to healthy aging wapo.st/3O8lCvP

Still no magic. Don't believe longevity influencer noise.

Luck. Exercise. Solid diet. Good community. And luck.

Of course, socioeconomics, public health, etc., key.

But it ain't supplements & cold plunges.

Scientists are studying Juan López García, 82, a world-record-holding ultramarathoner, to learn how we can stay healthy as we age.

My mother is a good person and I love her. My father is probably a sociopath, we don't speak - its like having a father who's a cop except he's a cop who makes the conditions of global socioeconomics possible and actively worse by existing.

Reddit is a digital ecosystem fueled by the unearned confidence of people who read the first three words of a headline and decided they are now a leading expert in socioeconomics, constitutional law, and niche fungal infections. Just weird on that platform, or is it me that’s weird. 😂

For a decade, the Shared Socioeconomics Pathways #SSP are used for scenario research related to climate change mitigation.

Now, GDP & population projections were updated by @iiasa.ac.at & the team at the #OECD, and the #ScenarioServices team set up a new interactive app to explore the scenarios!
Shared Socioeconomic Pathways | Scenario Explorer hosted by IIASA
The Shared Socioeconomic Pathways (SSPs) are a set of scenarios that describe potential future developments in society, economics, and demographics until the end of the 21st century. This Explorer pre...

I mean, I kinda know why (mostly has to do with socioeconomics and smartphones).

But yeah, makes searching for old art from an artist you like a chore

every email dump is providing more evidence that the socioeconomics and culture of the contemporary world have to a great extent been shaped by a sprawling cabal of rich and politically influential pedophiles. gotta hand it to the tinfoil hat crowd this a big win for them

I used to live in this district, most of my friends still do, and most are teachers. There was a huge fight in my old school district last year over a secret plan to split the district into two separate ones, basically divided by race & socioeconomics. The community came together to revolt.

Seems like our buyers are going to need an "Are they in the Epstein Files?" checklist when ordering socioeconomics/popular science "Smart Thinking" books for range.

Probably beause when you understand that sex is a material reality permeating historical & ongoing construction of socioeconomics, policy regulation, & law you are able to recognize de facto regressive ideology masquerading as progressive compassion.

Assisted dying is a women's issue. So why are we being left out of the debate?
“Not every woman has supportive offspring; not every woman has the financial means to make choices in that situation.”

I'm almost sick of saying it but, as usual, being a communist also inflicts you with the curse of Cassandra, doomed to always predict the future and have nobody believe you

I write about socioeconomics pretty much daily. When I start thinking, "hey I'm getting pretty good at this" I read @matthewstoller.bsky.social to stay humble. If you're not subbed to his substack "Big" you're missing out.
The Boomcession: Why Americans Hate What Looks Like an Economic Boom
The models used by policymakers to understand wages, economic growth, and consumer spending are misleading. That's why corporate America is having a party, and everyone else is mad.

(For college credit, I have watched the Locutus arc of Star Trek: The Next Generation on a 'full front of the room' pull-down screen, ranted for 10 pages about the socioeconomics of ADHD treatment, and written a paper on the origins of Marcus Lycus in Funny Things Happened In The Way To The Forum.)

I would much rather than be solving problems with climate, infrastructure, socioeconomics ... or writing novels and making games set in their universes. But no... I have to lament how much time I don't have to finish a study of the election, and otherwise fight fascism. Important work, but damn.

Bearing in mind elitist anti-wealth tax citizens and their chosen relatively poor supporters of trickle down socioeconomics have a different moral compass of what is freedom or justice and who gets to have it and who gets to decide who gets to have it.
