tbf the [foreign language] thing happens to me, too. bsky doesn't auto-detect what language you're typing in (there'sonly a popup) , and sometimes i simply forget to switch, lol (demonstrated on this post for effect)

No… I dont have auto correct on and its just spellcheck. Im autistic and ADHD in a way where I was actually segregated in school for it and have a lot wrong with me... I couldnt see that error and dont remember typing it that way.

I think the only real improvement in the latest macOS release is that when Safari auto-fills a password, it simulates typing so that shitty web form validation code works.
The rest of it should go back to Tim Apple for review.

"Assumes" M is right above the period. You hit it typing assumes, and corrected it before posting, but because of the way links let you delete the text, you have to manually delete the auto preview when you correct typos like that.

Another day, another software development app that's shoved in a new feature that covers up what I'm typing with a list of auto complete suggestions. At least this one provided a link at the bottom of the unwanted list that took me to the settings page where I could uncheck every goddamn box for it.

a fun trick i play on myself that has also helped me in many purchasing choices is to simply never allow for auto pay or keeping of credit card information on any storefront whatsoever. typing in the card information too strenuous? can't find my wallet? depression shopping? wasn't worth it then.

Okay how about an instant ‘community notes’-type feature *built in* to texts and posts, so that it fills in a rebuttal *as they’re typing*. IE, “vax = autism!” or “tariffs aren’t tax!” posts will just auto-label. EVEN IN THEIR PHONES.

I don't know if it's Chrome or Bluesky, but I was typing a post and and something auto-corrected "With" to "switch" in a sentence where "With" made sense and "switch" rendered the sentence meaningless.
