ok, what if the venue doesn't have self-contained cubicles, but - as most pubs do - a traditional men's & women's room, then what?

I think fewer women would be motivated to sell nude pictures of themselves to gooners online if they enjoyed healthcare, housing, and education as a human right. some might still be into it, and that's also okay, but i think people sell their bodies for the same reason they work in cubicles.

They’ve replaced the Spencer’s and Journeyz with an army recruitment office and a bunch of low-lit office cubicles without a storefront and like 3 people working silently inside, you can only see the tops of their heads

One of the offices of my public sector authority in Germany has ashtrays on top of the toilet paper dispensers in the cubicles. Actually designed for smoking on the toilet! Needless to say you're not allowed to use them anymore, they just haven't redecorated since the 80s...

What I can't understand ('straight' white adult male here) is what the fuck all the fuss is about. In most of Europe, changing rooms, toilets are unisex anyway. Who gives a fuck? There are individual cubicles. Fuss about nothing. Leave trans folk alone, let them live their lives.

Fascinating that this policy which transphobes pushed as protecting 'women's spaces' will lead to fewer 'women's spaces' I'm in favour of gender neutral toilets, but this makes it clear that their purpose is policing a definition, entirely ideological

I dunno about anyone else here, but I don't give a tinker's toss who uses what public toilet while I'm in there, as long as they don't try to kill me or whatever.
They're just toilets FFS. Everybody has to go sometime. We just need them to be clean, not stink of piss, and have private cubicles!

Human beings were not meant to sit in little cubicles staring at computer screens all day, filling out forms and listening to 8 bosses.
I really don't get the toilet thing. There are cubicles. No one's watching you piss. Unless they're your mate and you're drunk & having a chat. If a man wants to assault a women in some toilets, there's nothing stopping him just going into some quiet loos & waiting to attack someone, sadly. 1/2

Men’s cubicles should have sanitary bins in anyway, even without considering trans folks - catheters and other continence products are used by ALL GENDERS INCLUDING CIS MEN

like. Floor to top doors which are lockable. Often with sinks in a communal area.

Additionally the 'two cublicles made unisex' example won't play well w/transphobes who want rigid separation at all times. They want their men & women's cubicles & trans ppl be damned.

Changing rooms should be straight forward - nobody should be expected to change amongst strangers.
Most of the facilities I have used are unisex with individual & family sized cubicles (Admittedly often with spaces under & above partitions.)
For smaller spaces, single occupancy spaces avoid issues.

I'm hoping beyond that some bright spark might resolve these complex issues by inventing some kind of ankle to near ceiling internal partition that could be fitted within broader toilet areas.
Given their shape, we could perhaps call them 'cubicles', or some such.
Probably a pipe dream, though.

This isn't even about trans people or cis people but toilets should be self-contained gender neutral cubicles with hand washing and drying facilities. This idea of communal pissing and shitting spaces is deeply weird and I don't like it.

(i hope at some point they remark on the absurdity of asserting both that she refuses to change in toilet cubicles and also that she was totally entering the locker room to change in the toilet cubicle and definitely not to assault the trans woman)
