I've always wondered why its just so hard for me to just settle on a look, a vibe, a theme to present to others. I have characters, the way i present to a fandom where other people similarly present themselves with their characters, but no look of mine has ever felt 'genuine'

you can tell message boards are still real despite how much people online like to act like they only exist in a navelgazing sense because I just had to put someone on an ignore list because they post their opinions in the most annoyingly "I'm being persecuted for Having My Opinion" way possible

Edmonton had its snowiest month in 15 years, combined with a deepfreeze & holidays.

for me it was 'turn around and play ffxiv' + discords where navelgazing world affairs is either siloed off or just not really done
turn-based rpg. solo 4x. a book? watch some wrestling? build models - that's a lot of little steps that are easily picked up and put down. so many things

enough confronting trauma in media, we need to go back to when characters would just be like, "welp, that was fucked up" and maybe have a quick flashback before fighting the next alien or w/e. i'm putting the navelgazing on the shelf and only doling it out to black and white scandinavian art films.

this has been a very up and down year for me
but I've made huge strides towards developing personal skills I'm really interested and proud of, I've finally had a chance to meet some friends I've had for a decade irl (and see two of them get married even!)
