This is a reminder that Highlights published a book of the letters they’ve received from children over the years. Every piece of mail they received was answered. One of my fav books.

I am a girl and I am the biggest baseball fan ever! Whenever I were baseball Clothes out in Public Bi to a gome I Get caled a boy. How do I tell them that im not.

Dear Jocelyn,
We're sorry people keep confusing you for a boy when you're dressed in your baseball clothes. We're sure that is frustrating. The good news is your self-worth and identity do not have to depend on what other people say about you. You are free to dress in baseball clothes. If people think you're a boy, try not to let it get to you.
Depending on the situation, you could either ignore it when people call you a boy, or you could politely correct them, maybe laughing it off so they don't feel bad. For example, you could laugh kindly and say,
"Oh, actually I'm a girl. It's a common mistake!" If you can act lighthearted about the situation, then it won't seem as though you are upset.
We hope this helps. Your parents may have some advice for you as well.

The other night, my cousin was coming over to my house and wanted to pick up some dinner on the way, but the burger place was too busy and not accepting any orders at the time.

He told me and I texted back "that's unfortunate." I better check in to make sure we're cool after such a hurtful message.
