Pope Leo quotes Hannah Arendt:

“The ideal subject of totalitarian rule is not the convinced Nazi or the convinced Communist, but people for whom the distinction between fact and fiction and the distinction between true and false no longer exist."

On Oct. 11, 1975, Saturday Night Live debuted.
One of the most influential programs in television history, the success of that first season owes a lot to the many Canadians who were involved in the show.
These are some of those individuals!

A black-and-white photo of a group of people in a living room setting, with two men in the foreground sitting on either side of a table. The man on the left wears a suit and tie, leaning forward, while the man on the right, in a floral shirt and blazer, lounges casually. Behind them, several individuals, including a woman with long hair and others in casual attire, are seated or standing, with framed pictures and a lamp visible on the walls.

At a certain point, the ALCS doesn't actually "start." The Jays just show up and take over a dugout from one of these teams and the game continues.

The ceasefire in Gaza, now in effect, depends on the promise given by an inveterate liar and conman (Trump) to a ruthless terrorist organization (Hamas) that he will prevent another serial liar, conman, and war criminal (Netanyahu) from resuming the war:
Trump promised not to let Israel break Gaza ceasefire to get deal
Israel broke one ceasefire. Trump told the mediators he wouldn't let it happen this time.

MIT’s reply to Trumps shocking attack on education is a master class in deft rhetorical communication and positioning. It refutes without ceding ground. It negates without naming the charge. It accuses and rejects while sounding compliant. What a breath of fresh air after endless disappointments

MIT rejects "compact" proposed by the Trump administration.
MIT prez wrote: it "would restrict freedom of expression and our independence as an institution" and "is inconsistent with our core belief that scientific funding should be based on scientific merit alone."
