And it's about making mainstream politicians realise that the mythical "floating voter" is only to the right because the currents running through their information networks are pushing them there.

You "win" them by countering those currents. Not by diving in to that side of the water yourself.

Can we just get past the idea that "gender critical" people are in any way in favour of womens' rights? When you lie down with fascists, you, erm, end up a fascist.
according to @bphillipsonmp.bsky.social, @darrenpjones.bsky.social, streeting and so on — who are totally on the right side of history — graham linehan is a kindly liberal and women's right activist who has been cruelly cancelled by the powerful trans lobby

The BBC coverage is absolutely terrible.

It leads on "sharply contested narratives"

It has a dramatic skew to the US government

It has posted the video but has failed to report on what it shows: it shows the US govt account is untrue

oh look, the Labour Party trying to imitate the US government whilst the US government is currently (*checks notes*) executing protestors in broad daylight

this is definitely going to end well.
This is fucking stupid, we already have the National Crime Agency, our equivalent national body to the FBI set up to deal with serious and organised crime. Desperate to put some sort of stamp on the world in the form of taking credit for more cops when most serious crime is drug prohibition driven.
Home Office to launch ‘British FBI’ to deal with serious crime UK-wide

They know what they say is untrue, they do not care it is untrue.

The media know that what they repeat is untrue, they do not care it is untrue.

Their supporters know what they are told is untrue, they do not care it is untrue.

Telling the truth is not enough, unless people care about the truth.

Ice apparently murdered someone again and the video is distressing. You don't have to watch it, folks. There are better ways to bear witness than traumatizing yourself.

If you do see it, play some tetris afterward. Seriously. I'll post rahaeli's thread on that.

So er, I don't want to be alarmist my Canadian friends but it's not a GREAT sign when the superpower next door starts talking about how the people of a resource rich region of yours yearn for the freedom to join them and suggesting referendums...
Bessent pushes Albertan independence from Canada: "Albertans are very independent people. There's a rumor they may have a referendum on whether they want to stay in Canada or not. People are talking. People want sovereignty. They want what the US has got."
