Platner is a military veteran and oyster farmer making his first run for public office.

So far, less than half of voters polled have heard of the 40-year-old newcomer.

The 45% of voters who have heard of Platner, however, feel overwhelmingly positive about him.

The real scandal here is how deeply embedded Mothership is with the Democratic establishment. It was founded by DCCC alumni and continues to work closely with party leaders. It’s way worse than I thought. And it’s infuriating they continue to allow preying on people to enrich consultants.

How do you stop the incessant political text messages? I never have donated by phone, never heard of many of the politicians and campaigns I get texts from, often several a day. I now report them as spam but that doesn't seem to help any more than texting stop.
