This thread is so crucial for anyone dealing with ME/CFS or anyone who thinks they might have it.

Also so helpful for anyone who loves someone dealing with ME/CFS.
Something I think people really don't understand about ME/CFS vs other fatigue illnesses is how the fatigue symptoms can be delayed for us, and how they accrete, like katamari damarcy.

We do feel exhaustion upon exertion, often much faster or with less effort than others expect. This is true!

Vought is one of the top three or four enemies of the Constitution & American democracy. His removal from power is one of the highest priorities for any project of checking the dictatorship's lawless wielding of the vast powers of the state
Russ Vought set out to ensure a second Trump term would not be hampered by checks and balances:

“I don’t want President Trump having to lose a moment of time having fights in the Oval Office about whether something is legal or doable or moral.”

Great thread.
Something I've noticed about disability rep is that we typically only show people with one singular profound illness. I think this creates an expectation in people's minds that you should only have one profound thing, and if you have multiple mild or moderate things then you must be lying.

Ambulatory wheelchairs exist.

This article does nothing but fuel eugenics in our increasingly fascist state.

Not surprising given the source, but that means I just expect more of my non-disabled friends to speak the fuck up about this unacceptable shit yourselves.

Donald Trump granted legal permanent residency to that same student. Revoke his presidency!

(Note: I don’t support blaming people when a single person they admit under a large program goes on to commit a crime. But by Laura Loomer’s standards, Trump should go.)
Loomer calls for Brown U to lose its federal funding for admitting a foreign student who, at some later date, allegedly committed murder.

States need to push back hard here. ICE is saying Real ID isn't valid because some states extend it to those lawfully present and now a state issued birth certificate is deemed insufficient, in this case Maryland. This is very dangerous.

Yup. Good thing I enjoy the quotidian (real) videos people post of cats purring, a dog and cat cuddling, etc. I hope that those videos, at least, will still be real.
Funny animal videos no longer being trustworthy just fucking sucks all around. I love the wonder of animal behavior and what it says about the experience of being alive. It's because it happened in reality that it's so fun. It's not fun if it was just made up. There's no wonder there.

Muting a Black woman to claim the vote was unanimous is so incredibly on the nose
The White House claims the vote to rename the Kennedy Center was “unanimous.” That is false. I was muted on the call and denied the opportunity to speak or register my opposition. That is not consensus. That is censorship.

A story I found about Haiti:

In 1999, a group of Haitians were tired of political disorder and dreamed of a better life in the United States. So they built a small, 23-foot boat by hand using pine trees, scrap wood, and used nails. They called the boat "Believe in God."
