This thread is so crucial for anyone dealing with ME/CFS or anyone who thinks they might have it.

Also so helpful for anyone who loves someone dealing with ME/CFS.
Something I think people really don't understand about ME/CFS vs other fatigue illnesses is how the fatigue symptoms can be delayed for us, and how they accrete, like katamari damarcy.

We do feel exhaustion upon exertion, often much faster or with less effort than others expect. This is true!

The federal blitz moved to Charlotte, but the trauma and damage in Chicago are still with us—and DHS says 1,000 agents will hit our streets in March. I wrote about what this moment demands of us: care, clarity, and preparation.
What Now, Chicago? Regrouping After Midway Blitz
Let’s make this a winter of fortification, of learning, and bonding together like the winter snow that federal agents are so afraid of.

From Bronze Age Wales, the spectacular Mold Cape! 🤩

An incredible ancient feat of sheet-goldworking, beaten from a single gold ingot some 3,600 years ago!

The extraordinary embossed decoration is said to mimic strings of beads.

Great thread

ALWAYS take the fkr down
Here are some thoughts on why even armed people do not survive encounters sometimes with people who come to kill them.

And this is from someone who watches a metric fuckton of true crime, reads criminal cases, blah blah blah.

So here's OPINION, primarily based on survivor stories. A survivor

100% And the Epstein scandal at its heart is about elite impunity and rich people literally screwing ordinary Americans with no consequences. There is a direct through line between this and oligarchs and elites stripping gov't for parts, making life unaffordable, cutting health care, etc.
Hey here’s an idea! We can talk about Epstein AND affordability! There are a bunch of advisors who lived in a pre internet era who think you can land only one message at a time
The usual suspects are telling Dems that Epstein won’t win elections, get back to “affordability” and I think my head might explode. www.offmessage.net/p/force-a-re...

I wanted to share probably the most important sermon I’ve given and it’s while I’m being arrested. It’s torture pure and simple what happens at #Broadview. I’m ok, though I was thrown to the ground and choked with my pectoral cross. A review of the video shows I was peaceful - did I deserve this?

One thing that's abundantly clear: passing the SAFE Research Act would permanently end the United States' ability to be competitive in any area of advanced technology. Just straight up suicidal policy-making.
This has gotten surprisingly little attention — it's not even on the front page of @science.org right now — but it's really hard to describe what the SAFE Research Act would do to US science and scientists without sounding insane

Some things are best watching on the wall of Plato's social media cave.

Mark Sanford's Appalachian Trail presser was the first of those, for me.

Nuzzi is undoubtedly another.

People employ absurd, grotesque victim-blaming logic that even they don’t really believe as part of a global gaslighting effort to make victims blame themselves first and foremost and not even seek accountability or expose these crimes in the first place. And it works like a charm

Great thread.
Ppl are being infected w/COVID @ work TODAY. A Yale study found 14% of 3,500 Long COVID patients surveyed in the US had not returned to work 3 months after getting sick. But rather than seeing this for the mass indictment that it is we see only some villains.

in online corners like these I think people largely recognize how credulous, unprincipled opposition to "wokeness" functioned as lightly papered over defenses of impunity, but it's one of those drums people should probably start beating for normies
Something absolutely perfect about Larry Summers riffing about the scourge of woke cancel culture being unfair to predatory men in a friendly email to his pal JEFFREY EPSTEIN.

The plan to end vaccines is to say that every study requires an inordinate number of patients and resources to carry out before the current FDA will review it.
When companies decide it is too expensive to make any new vaccines, they will stop making new vaccines.
RFK Jr. has said he does not want to take vaccines away from Americans. But at a closed-door meeting of vaccine scientists in September, a top official at the FDA suggested doing just that. Here's how Vinay Prasad and Tracy Beth Høeg are reshaping vaccine regulation:
