So… boycotts aren’t temporary. When I start boycotting, I am DONE.

But don’t panic. I know that it might be scary to think you’ll never do another Target run etc, but believe me: you will find *better* alternatives. You’ll have less garbage. You will enjoy things more.

Let go. It will be okay.

Protests happen, but most of what is happening in Minneapolis isn’t protesting.

More accurate terms:
- observers
- witnesses
- volunteers
- neighbors
- residents
- people
One thing that irks me: people keep calling the folks on the streets in Minneapolis protestors. They are not generally there to protest, they are there to observe and document. This is the product of organizing and mutual aid. It is telling that these acts of citizenship are seen as protest!

I am fairly skeptical of formal religion. I think that’s warranted. AND, this moment right here in Minneapolis is so revealing between the faithful that have actually heeded the words they read and those who read but didn’t listen.

This letter was worth my time to read. Probably worth yours, too.

It’s hilarious and pitiable hearing stories of people claiming Minneapolis must be bankrolled by someone.

They simply cannot conceive that regular people buy extra hand warmers in order to give them away. That businesses give free coffee. That we put effort into caring for each other.

Hey Minnesota. What’s your vibe today? Sound off. (Here or wherever feels good to you)

I’m feeling pretty determined to go about living our lives - gonna get the kids out of the house - and to double down on mutual aid and resistance art.

I call Klobuchar and Smith all the time. Calling Smith feels useful and productive. I call Klobuchar to yell (not at the staffers, never that, be nice to them and also it’s their job to hear us complain about their boss).

I call Ilhan when I need a break and I say thank you for being great.

I drove home from 28th and Lyndale to about 50th and Lyndale at around 8pm. Nearly every intersection had people gathered, holding candles. Lake street was lined with people. It was beautiful and so sad. I’m so tired of being sad for my beautiful city.
laying candles at a vigil for alex pettri in loring park after he was shot by ICE today in minneapolis under the noisy state patrol helicopter that has been a constant presence

Minneapolis genuinely has phenomenal political leadership, just not in the Mayor or Governor’s offices.

Thank you to my Council President 🫡❤️
I’ve been here on the scene all morning. Right after recording the convoy you can see in the background of the video tear gassed me.

So Friday was a success. Do we do that every Friday until they get out? Raise your hand if you would do that every Friday, Minneapolis. Do we do it every day until they leave?

@ag.state.mn.us would be good to hear what your office is doing to get the phones, videos, statements, etc from the people ICE is detaining
Mayor, Governor, Police Chief and County Attorney and their staff need to make the safety of these witnesses and the preservation of their statements a top priority
Per this report ICE has detained several witnesses

Yall outside of MN need to know that observers are STILL out protecting their neighbors. Right now. They know the news and they’re still out there.
January 24, 2026 at 4:41 PM
I mean, how could the know if they’re harboring murderers or not? It’s a safety concern and a liability. Evict all ICE agents asap.
Hotels must evict ICE NOW

Absolutely. Wolves should refuse to play until ICE is out. I promise other players would join. Shut down the whole league. Is this emotional fantasy? Probably.
The Minnesota Timberwolves absolutely need to postpone their game today.

Stop pretending everything is normal.

They took away NPR’s money.

The future is unknown.

We can take their money, too.

Yeah, it’s a hard road, but we have to do it. Every path of resistance. All of ‘em.

What we learned after they killed Renee Good is that they don’t stop operations the day they kill someone.

It only increases in other parts of the Cities.

So we keep patrolling. we can’t even stop to mourn.
