ICE in Minneapolis are erasing your rights.

Imagine thinking it's a bad thing to be identified as someone who wants to take care of your neighbors.

Please, identify the helpers for all of us. So we can buy them drinks. Let us celebrate their love for their neighbors. Allow me to knit them soft things.

Here’s the deal, they captured my face standing outside of my kid’s preschool in a high-viz vest. The database is going to be so big it’ll be useless. Employers will ask why you aren’t in the database and unless you explain you were doing mutual aid, the people hiring will think you’re a bad person.
TOM HOMAN: “We’re going to create a database where those people that are arrested for interference, impeding and assault, we’re going to make them famous. We’re going to put their face on TV. We’re going to let their employers, in their neighborhoods, in their schools, know who these people are.”

Without exaggeration, these would have little to no impact! None of these would have protected Renee Good, Victor Manuel Diaz, or Alex Pretti. ICE OUT is the only acceptable solution.

I have called my senators, have you called yours?

Dems coalescing around 5 restrictions on ICE, I'm told:

DHS required to cooperate with state probes (big)
CBP stays at border
warrants for arrests
IDs, bodycams
ICE out of churches, schools

"That package unites a lot of Dems," Sen Chris Murphy tells me on the pod:

As Trump scrambles to contain the damage from the latest ICE horrors, Senator Chris Murphy offers a sharp indictment of Trump-ICE lawlessness—and explains how Dems can meet the urgency of the moment.

WOMEN ARE GIVING BIRTH WITHOUT HELP AT HOME
This Mobile Clinic needs financial support to get to them, and to others too afraid to go to the hospital.
Minnesota request:
People too scared to leave home for medical care. Kids getting very sick. Women missing prenatal & delivering at home w/o support. Mobile Clinic treating people in safety of their homes (under dropdown, click "other,” type "Mobile Health")

Apparently people filled it with luminaries so people on planes can see it at night

Last call for donations, closing at midnight tonight (central) and then I'll finally stop spamming the feed with this! We've made it up to $360, if the final push moves the needle to $400 that means it's a $40 gift card as the second raffle item for bksy users only!
Bsky/insta/fb: cross stitch raffle! Every 5$ donated to a fund on StandWithMinnesota.com is an entry (dm me a receipt).

Bsky only: giftcard raffle! For one winner, every $100 raised will equal a $10 giftcard to a place of your choice striking Friday! (Ex: $500 raised = $50 card).

Ends 1/27 EOD!

His parents are legal asylum seekers with no criminal record.

And until every single neighbor is returned
ICE leaving Minneapolis isn’t the end of anything, it would be cathartic and possibly curb some of the building revolutionary anger and energy.

Nothing is over until ICE is abolished, its criminals imprisoned, the Trump Admin is run out of power, and a new and fairer future is realized.

Celebrate this. Enjoy it. SAVOR it.

Because we have to keep going.
We take this beautiful thing
and we keep building.
We rest when we’re tired.
We lean on each other.

We repair harm.
We protect what’s here.
We grieve what isn’t.
We restore as much as we possibly can.

We get our neighbors BACK.

To be clear, the demand is:

Get out of Minneapolis
Do not go anywhere else
Disband them
Prosecute all the crimes

And most importantly

GIVE US BACK OUR NEIGHBORS

I'll repeat my ask to Democratic Senators here: don't vote for the DHS funding bill, yes. AND ALSO do not vote for another single thing in the United States Senate until the invasion and occupation of Minnesota ends. Don't vote to name a post office, dedicate a road, or even a procedural motion
January 26, 2026 at 11:54 PM
AND we don’t just want them bringing this elsewhere.

It’s not “get out of Minneapolis”

it’s “get out of everywhere, get prosecuted for the crimes, and then we salt whatever ground made this happen don’t doesn’t happen again to anyone anywhere”

Won’t fit on a poster but that’s the demand.
THIS!!! They’re not gone until they’re GONE.

We can’t get complacent, they’ll still be here kidnapping & brutalizing our neighbors until we kick them out permanently
dont let a few ICE agents leaving mn fool you. nothing on the ground has changed yet. this is a way for them to distract and give a scapegoat so the rest of the world will turn a blind eye.

I have had things on insta go mini-viral (couple thousand likes) and that brings out hateful comments.

I don’t engage, just block.

And let me tell you…. it’s bots. I’m sure it’s a few real people but a whole lot of no profile pic, <5 posts, <50 following and followers.

I encourage you to ignore!

Finished up school patrol this morning and a Somali mother got out of her car to give us the biggest, longest hugs. She said she doesn't know Somalia, her kids don't speak Somali and showed us that she's carrying her passport with her everywhere. I lost count the number of times she thanked us. 🥹

So… boycotts aren’t temporary. When I start boycotting, I am DONE.

But don’t panic. I know that it might be scary to think you’ll never do another Target run etc, but believe me: you will find *better* alternatives. You’ll have less garbage. You will enjoy things more.

Let go. It will be okay.
