Yeah, Trump's response to COVID didn't do "much of evil."
I mean genuinely, I think the country is doomed with a bad democrat. However with Vance there’s the tiny chance that his presidency is lame duck enough to not do much of evil. Like trump 2016z

The funniest thing about this article is how it predates “liberal” as a specific and exclusive epithet from the online left.

Many people won't see this in their local cemetaries because their cemetaries are newer

or they've turned over old graves, as plot times expire and the plots reused. yeah.

But older cemetaries, yes. And have entire sections just for babies.
Go to a cemetery and count the amount of child headstones 1880-1920 vs 1920-1940....yes. especially young

As I see more and more of my friends succumb to the AI plight, I'm left feeling depressed by the inevitability of generative AI not only taking my job but also my hobbies.

Hard to believe, at one point a bunch of people were paid yearly salaries to watch and reflect about how they felt about movies. And some of the writing was pretty great.

Some all-time miniature effects work in this film.
Man, Dante’s Peak was GOOD. Not sure how I missed it back in 97. Probably I had some Twister prejudice, which I called “loyalty.”

Also love how in Muppet Christmas Carol and Muppet Treasure Island, you're almost fooled into thinking it will be a regular adaptation then the first thing you see are these weird little creatures and it's like "Oh. So it is a Muppet film after all."

Me: I should really get around to finishing some of the books I *need* to read like MONTE CRISTO or the new T. Kingfisher horror -

Me: but now that I've finished the "lesbian holiday fake fiancé" romance, the "lesbian publicists secretly dating while their clients also date" romance is available...

Yeah, so my feeling is NOPE, NO, NUH UH, NEVER

For one thing, IQ is bullshit. For another, there is a reason we DON’T want a streamlined way to identify “the most vulnerable”. Please see the United States for further details.

Lastly—who is this for?

The guy worked at Blockbuster. That’s like being the bartender at the Film Bar. Quentin tossing off an opinion about Vertigo is like the CHEERS guys talking about how many bolts are in the floor of the Boston Garden. It’s not a deeply held belief, it’s just there to fill conversation

Quentin got so famous that two things happened - people stopped debating his off the cuff film opinions. And this led him to repeat them to a publication that treated them as news and not the cocktail party small talk it really is

definitely seems like you're safer from any kind of punishment for being in the Epstein Files than for, say, just to pick two examples totally at random, attending a college protest for Gaza or tweeting that you weren't very sad Charlie Kirk died
Has anyone in the Epstein Files who didn’t do anything wrong been punished? Maybe someone who was at a meeting Epstein was at. Never went to the island, didn’t get money from him, nor had a bunch of friendly emails.

Anyone get arrested, fired, etc.? Because moral panics feature that sort of thing.

this is exactly why I am absolutely not willing to overlook anyone who was once “advocating for ending USAID” as merely committing a little oopsie-daisy-booboo, by the way
The Project 2025 author is using millions of dollars in USAID money for his own security detail.

It is estimated that 762,000 people have *already died* as a result of Elon Musk and Russell Vought’s obscene murder of USAID, including more than 500,000 children.

Vought is a mass murderer.
