I realised over Christmas that I’d never gotten my second MMR jab on account of childhood moves and policy changes. I emailed my GP and I just got it this morning, free on the NHS. It’s never too late and you can’t overdo it. Please get vaccinated.

Amazing fact that shows the reality of Reform UK: There are now more members of Liz Truss’s disastrous cabinet in Farage’s party than in the Conservative Party.

This makes me so angry.

The eradication of diseases like measles and polio was one of the great achievements of the 20thC. They blighted millions of lives. Things got better.

And we've chosen to abandon that achievement through ignorance, bad faith and lies.
Arguably more significant than defections, internal party politics and the Beckhams…

In 2024 there were around 3,600 suspected cases of measles.

We need to challenge the nonsense spread by anti vaxxers and ensure children are protected.

CW grief

a year ago today, my grandfather died. Last week, I taught my mixed media class how to use traditional Chinese ink like how he taught me. Grief is weird, and time continues.

I wrote this game a year ago for the #36wordGameJam as a way to process my grief and I’d love to reshare it now 🫶🏼

This Bill has majority public opinion behind it, and passed the House of Commons vote. Filibustering in the Lords stopped it. This is no way to run a democracy.
A neutral source close to the process in the Lords tells me that the assisted dying bill will run out of time before a vote. At the current rate of debate, that seems likely.

Supporters say the public deserve for the bill to go to a vote, opponents say tough luck, this is due process.
EXC - MPs and peers who backed the assisted dying bill now believe it is “near impossible” for it to pass the House of Lords in time because of procedural obstacles used by opponents.

“It is our system at its absolute most dysfunctional,” one MP said.

Australian women are murdered by partners or ex partners at a rate of more than one a week.

This isn’t treated as mass murder.

If it were treated as mass murder our government could possibly find a way to act.

If they defect to a different party, we should get a vote
