I don't necessarily know what his deal is, or that he's lying about his current views, but...like, there are obvious reasons to not trust or vote for a politician who seems to make horrible errors in judgement and then lie about them for decades.

I have successfully done an alteration!
It might not be as neat as the original, but I don't think LeggyDog will care. (warm winter coat designed for a dog with a much deeper belly; removed velcro, cut down straps, re-attached velcro.)

i know that “burrito taxi” was meant as a pejorative HOWEVER not to be all social worker abt it but it has been a v useful phrase for like, mindfulness and gratitude lol

like wow how lucky am I that I can afford a private taxi for my burrito! the delivery person should be paid a living wage!

I won, but I'm annoyed it was an argument! What's more likely:
a) reporter assumed most common spelling of name and didn't check
or
b) Parent, writing name tag for [physically disabled] kid, spelled it wrong and the kid let that stand.

Reporter wanted to keep it. Said it was both ways online.
I googled the kid -- she's in politics w/ rare disease, plenty of hits that are definitely her -- and found a letter to the editor and an old gofundme by her mother, using the variant spelling. Presented evidence.
Reporter relented.

Just a quick PSA that you have no reasonable expectation of privacy in your public movements. This is why law enforcement can follow YOU or photograph YOU in public without reasonable suspicion or probable cause. Law enforcement doesn’t get “extra” protection in that regard. Goose/gander etc.

Tangent: Not arguing that *this guy* didn't mean it that way, because fucking yikes, and because CNN doesn't use this style, but Gannett/USA TODAY style is to capitalize (on grounds of not treating white as default?).

Too many people are VERY comfortable putting people in positions of power who hold bigoted views. Idk if it's because you also hold bigoted views or if you're just comfortable that those views won't affect YOU, but it's wild to see "no bigots" reduced to "purity test." Either way, no.
