Good news, everybody 🥹
GOOD NEWS! Researchers have developed a cancer vaccine that has shown STUNNING results, PREVENTING up to 88% of MULTIPLE aggressive cancers by harnessing dual-pathway nanoparticles that train the immune system to recognize and destroy tumor cells. In some cases, it COMPLETELY prevented metastasis.
I've been on it since before it was cool and it does what it says on the tin.

Are they really just reverting to two decade old islamophobia? Does their audience even remember that shit? The olds are dead and the youngs were in elementary school.

Y'all forgot about May.
Dimitri Soudas, former Harper comms guy, told RadCan this morning that he's hearing Conservative MP Matt Jeneroux will cross the floor to the Liberals today.

If this happens, the Liberals are one seat short of a majority. You know what that means.

That's right.

Can't stop thinking about the fact that the government is literally slashing public service jobs while bringing in AI for use in the public service.

They are literally doing, as a government, what we scream at tech bros for doing to their employees.

Pretty gross!

we all saw the video. the sandwich could've killed him. that officer is lucky to be alive.

(This is a post about Subway's food safety standards.)
Defense says that the officer's testimony was "very questionable" because he said the sandwich both exploded in spray of mustard and onions and also landed in its wrapper on the ground.

This is a fascinating thread
Zohran picked 「卓蘭」("excellent orchid") for his first name and「夸梅」("brilliant plum") for his middle name.

The orchid and the plum are among "The Four Noble Ones" in traditional Chinese art, the former symbolizing an indifference to fame and fortune, the latter an indomitable, incorruptible spirit.
highlight of my day!!!! vote @zohrankmamdani.bsky.social vote @workingfamilies.org ❤️❤️❤️

Canada’s true uniqueness is that every few years we de facto make the leader of the often 1-seat Green Party our supreme authority and it really hasn’t failed yet

Personally, I'm not stoked about the idea of a Liberal majority.

Minority governments are better for democracy (despite the instability) because they require compromise and collaboration.

With a majority, CEO Carney would be in full effect.

There are good MPs in the Liberal Party of Canada, but in this moment they should be proving it. People like @beynate.bsky.social and @karinagould.bsky.social need to be standing up against this budget as the party shifts further right.

Carney treats you both like garbage. Push back for us.

The deficit’s primary function is political: it is a cudgel used to enforce unpopular policies and coerce the public into accepting a diminished quality of life in the name of private profit. We must stop mistaking this political strategy for economic necessity.
The deficit is not an economic problem—it’s a political weapon
Mark Carney’s new budget exposes how Canada’s political class weaponizes the deficit to protect elites and justify austerity. Despite alarmist rhetoric, Canada’s debt is modest and self-financed. The ...
