This is also why I think organizing is so important. It's not just about building enough power to challenge the capitalist class, but also about re-building our bonds with each other that have been absolutely eviscerated by capitalist individualism and hustle culture

seriously though I watched some videos about looksmaxxing, skinnytok, and online gambling and these can all be seen as consequences of capitalist alienation and the eroding of public spaces, the trade union movement, class mobility, and solidarity under neoliberal capitalism

Capitalism has polluted the air, the oceans, the land, our water supplies and food, and now it's polluting the internet

South America is home to a vibrant, talented community of game developers, responsible for creating some of the most exciting independent titles while supporting the work of studios globally. They are our colleagues, friends, family, and comrades. The concerns of workers, like video games themselves, are international, with relationships and hopes that span continents and oceans. We stand with Venezuelans against the violent transgressions on their country, and with all Latin American video game workers as they endure the imperial aggression that interferes with their communities and their craft. Our struggles are intertwined. While the US government extracts other nations' resources to serve elite economic interests, it erodes the living conditions of its people and undermines their ability to oppose it. While we urge our members in the US and Canada to call their representatives to demand an end to imperialist aggression, we cannot yield the responsibility of fighting imperialism to those most complicit in upholding it. Instead, we must organize and build lasting power alongside our union siblings in every industry to fight it ourselves.

I don’t think they’re misreading them so much as they are terrified of the implications because it means the status quo has to break. there’s no incrementalism for this. mass radicalization of this scale scares Democrats more than anything Republicans could do and I mean that literally.

Kind of feel like a lot of politicians, even in Minnesota, are misreading the implications of this moment. I feel like the past three days have been tremendously radicalizing for so many people. I have witnessed it even in my own small communities, it goes beyond just incandescent rage.

A year ago today was the start of violent, terrorizing raids in California’s rural Central Valley. Violent federal agents were hunting down farm workers like animals.

Today, they’re in the streets of Minneapolis. Our communities should not be enduring this. None of us are safe until all of us are.

But the lesson must be: Unionize MORE. One team, one department, one studio protected? Shut down. *Every* studio protected? They can't shut them all down (without trashing the shareholder value, their only KPI).
