Because I’m sick of the silence in the voice over industry I’m making this new thread to link to other threads covering the Zionism and bigotry of Tara Strong, Ezra Weisz, Selah Victor and Jessica DiCicco. Because someone needs to speak out against them and their supportive of the genocide in Gaza.

“So you’re saying we should bully companies that use AI?”

“Yes absolutely.”

It's this photo if you missed it, savaging the East Wing to make a vanity ballroom.

It’s striking how many local governments, school boards, and small businesses post official statements to Facebook or Instagram and nowhere else, occasionally with restrictions that mean you have to have an account and log in to read them.

They want us to “make our own stories” but when we do, this is how they act. There’s no denying that a vast majority of people have deep rooted racism and specifically towards black people.
There's absolutely nothing anyone can say to convince me that the world doesn't hate Black people. Not a fucking thing.

What gets me the most isnt that these things are happening — it’s that people still bother believing him and are still taking him at face value.

There's so much genuine stuff to criticize about the state of Pokemon releases since X/Y (all mostly stemming from the fact that the new game release schedule is way too fast for like, human labor expectations) but people always pick the absolute dumbest shit to be mad about
We know now this is utter nonsense but this is indicative of the massive problem that exists in regards to Pokémon, and Nintendo in general.

People post without context and/or knowledge and it spreads, and spreads and people just assume. This has 127k likes...

This is wrong.

The death of actual video game journalism, which was championed by GamerGate, devastated people’s perceptions of gaming.

They got what they wanted, though. Now everything gaming related is soaked in clickbait, ragebait, and other various baits. Grifters control the narrative

Real shit I think this is a problem that's much bigger than Pokemon and Nintendo and extends to not just gaming as a whole but just online discourse as a whole

People who dont know what the fuck theyre talking about are more emboldened than ever to just fuckin post shit regardless of reality

The president of the United States posted a video of him defecating on the American people. Many in my profession normalized it. This is a big reason why we are where we are.

If you’re in a creative field and you don’t lift up the work of your peers, you can’t expect people to care about your stuff
Do you have any extremely niche, but serious, ethical stances?
Well, I’ve just gone and rambled on about me when you were trying to make a point yourself. Sorry about that. I’m not good with communicating or reading situations.
I’ve also tried telling the cast of miraculous ladybug that their voice director Ezra Weisz & his wife Sabrina Weisz are massive Israel supporters who attack people poc and LGBT groups who support Palestine but the cast including those who claim to support Palestine just ignore me.
I’ve tried multiple times to tell VAs about Tara Strong’s Islamphobia and support of Israel‘s genocide of Palestinians. But so far Steve Blum has called me and a bunch of other people antisemites and blocked us. Cree Summer & June Yoon blocked me and Grey Delisle just expresses disbelief every time.
That’s awful. I’m sorry that happened to you. This isn’t exactly the same thing because I’m not a va and I don’t work in industry and I don’t know anyone personally but I’ve tried telling VAs about the awful behaviour of some of their colleagues and they usually just end up insulting & blocking me.

A similar thing happened to me about 25 years ago, when I was a preteen. It was a nightmare.

Now, thanks to AI, so many young girls all over the world will have to live that same nightmare.
it's 30 years later and this still happens.

It's nice to see my colleagues openly show their support for the lgbtq, but it's also disappointing how silent that support was when your lgbtq colleagues were being attacked a few months ago by the same community you are standing up for.

As I've grown up, it makes a lot more sense.

One thing I did learn during the VA strike was that a particular voice actor was screencapping things I was posting and sharing them privately to other VAs to be like "can you believe this?"

And hey, to that person I say:

In a situation where dialogue could have helped, you instead chose gossip.
