We never incited violence, we just called this guy a member of antifa who funded terrorism and told our followers to pay him a visit ha ha and then a totally unrelated group of people threatened to murder him in front of his students ha ha
"The petition to disband our Turning Point chapter is blatantly defamatory," Ava Kwan, outreach coordinator for the Turning Point USA chapter at Rutgers, told Fox News Digital in a statement.
"The accusations of 'inciting violence' and 'making threats' are complete lies," Kwan said. "The same people claiming we're suppressing their free speech are actively trying to silence us for speaking the truth. It's not just ironic, it's hypocritical and absurd."
tpusa_rutgers Do you want to become a socialist? If so, make sure to pay this professor a visit!!!! All jokes aside help us report this professor who has ties to Antifa which now is designated as a domestic terrorist organization. DO YOUR PART AND HELP MAKE RUTGERS A PLACE FOR ALL STUDENTS TO LEARN WITHOUT BECOMING A RADICAL SOCIALIST

David Simon, creator of ‘The Wire’, being interviewed by Ari Shapiro (NPR)
SHAPIRO: OK, so you've spent your career creating television without Al, and I could imagine today you thinking, boy, I wish I had had that tool to solve those thorny problems...
SIMON: What?
SHAPIRO: ...Or saying...
SIMON: You imagine that?
SHAPIRO: ...Boy, if that had existed, it would have screwed me over.
SIMON: I don't think Al can remotely challenge what writers do at a fundamentally creative level.
SHAPIRO: But if you're trying to transition from scene five to scene six, and you're stuck with that transition, you could imagine plugging that portion of the script into an Al and say, give me 10 ideas for how to transition this.
SIMON: I'd rather put a gun in my mouth.

I suspect that's right, but the (unintentional) easier breakdown of components might be "dick" and "traumatized," which I don't think is what she's going for.

Sigh. Portmanteau-ing is hard.

This is Boksil. She is reaching levels of cozy previously unheard of. 12/10 a trailblazer (IG: with_bokdanji)
a small cream colored dog stares up at us. this is Boksil, swaddled in a grey robe, and tucked underneath a thick blanket on a bed. her little paws poke out of the robe's sleeves, and her toe beans are in full view. her tiny pink tongue mlems from her grinning mouth. a higher angle of Boksil. a small yellow pillow rests beside her for scale, and her eyes are closed peacefully as she rests swaddled under a white blanket, looking very cozy.

fwiw, I wholeheartedly agree. Those taking the "It's not yet fascism here" line are, in a narrow and technical sense, correct, but the point isn't "OK, we're good then" but "OK, but what will keep it that way? In what ways do we reverse the trend toward an (as yet) unfinished project"?

Legacy media has done a lot to earn this level of mistrust, an am not especially hopeful of them earning trust back; at the same time, I think too few people are sufficiently mistrustful of people whose entire ethos is instinctive, unwavering, and unvarying mistrust of legacy media.

Gallup has been surveying Americans' trust in legacy media since 1972. This year, a mere 28 percent of the public have "a great deal" or "a fair amount" of trust in legacy media, its lowest level in more than five decades of tracking.

It's The Matrix week in my class, one big takeaway: only 2 of 18 had seen the film before, but everyone else knew it through memes & vague references to "living in the matrix". Memification of the film's central moments kinda trivialized them, they were watching through the lens of memes.

How much of right wing politics would flat out just disappear if men didn't have weird sexual neuroses?
Article from the FP by Tyler Cowen. It's called "My favourite actress is not human" and the by line reads "Tilly Norwood doesn’t need a hairstylist, has no regrettable posts, and if you wish to see a virgin on-screen, this is one of your better chances. That’s because she’s AI."

I should also note that like pretty much all of the self-proclaimed "rationalist" types, Cowen does not do debates with people who criticize him strongly. He's a coward who cannot support his ideas in argumentation--while also pretending to care about open debate.
