Divorcing an abusive husband made me an abolitionist eco-feminist. There is more revolutionary politics in inner family systems therapy than you realize. I love reading & writing sci-fi, fantasy, romance, poetry, and comedy.

If grief is love persevering, anger is love looking for action. Feeling anger and grief under capitalism is the surest sign that you are a person who refuses to numb your capacity to love.

The fantasy genre is so great. I love it. It has endless possibilities like dragons, sky islands, flying whales, and affordable living

I just read today that the city has decided that shelters have to accept everyone... as long as it's under 20 degrees. apparently 25 degrees is still fine for people to sleep outside, including children.

so, so little care into preventing more of these deaths.

capital recalibrated itself towards wokeness in the 2020s to keep the engine going. they set up diversity committees to stop people from yelling at them but then a bunch of people who make $700k a year working at think tanks decided it was a real cultural project and now you have to read articles.

i have said this before but if you are actually interested in influencing people beyond a narrow circle of too-online journalists you will be making direct to camera videos on tiktok, instagram and youtube. if you primarily post on text-based social media then you're just dicking around.

We are not fighting fascism because we don’t want to.

Almost every section of the political spectrum believes that “identity” marginalized people need to be “managed” not protected .

They enjoy the spectre of Trump/ Trump adjacency as a regulation tool
Democrats: Trump is the greatest threat to democracy!
Also Democrats: Trump should keep being president!

"77,000 fewer American mothers of preschool-aged children in the workforce since that time, a result that researchers found is tied to the impact of ICE arrests."

ICE arrests are forcing American moms to leave their jobs
A new analysis shows that increased immigration enforcement is reducing labor in the child care workforce. The ripple effect is impacting mothers with young children.

Another angle: homelessness kills, slowly & quickly. This is well established as a matter of public health. (Even living in a homeless shelter kills.) And it leads to terminal illnesses. Yet liberal govts will NOT help some who says, "I am about to be homeless, plz help me." They just let 'em die.

My god, if there’s one thing we’ll never run out of is ideas. Everyone has them. What that guy meant is c suite business guys don’t have any good ideas because they don’t fucking interact with the regular ass world. And they think their ideas are the only ones that matter.

I'm telling you, the feedback I got from recent art market overwhelmingly confirmed this for me. People want things made by actual human beings with thought and care.
The handmade, human qualities of your work are more valuable than they've ever been. Don't doubt that for a second.

WOW. So this is obviously a huge violation of this man's rights, and it illustrates a few things we're seeing broadly:

- DHS officers are ignoring peoples' IDs and instead requiring screening through their own systems
- Confirms @404media.co's reports of use of DHS's facial recognition app.

This is abuse. It is verbal violence, denigrating a woman for simply doing her job. It is racist, misogynistic, white supremacist abuse. Plain and simple.

I hate it when people tell you to not stand up for yourself

That's EXACTLY why we are where we are today in America. It's too hard to stand up and say and do the right thing. Because when we roll over and do nothing, we're telling the baddies they're in the right.

Guess what. THEY'RE NOT.

9. The win on the NDAA trans care coverage ban is big - it applies not just to servicemembers, but their dependents, and companies that contract with the military - it could have had much larger impacts than many realize.

It going down is worth celebrating for transgender people tonight.

You can’t tell if someone is disabled just by looking at them.

There’s no such thing as the “genuinely disabled”.

You are not entitled to a person’s entire medical history just so you can decide whether to believe them or not.

People are not faking disability, most are trying to fake being well.

Wordsworth and Coleridge would’ve tried to launch their own app, but it would be an incredibly embarrassing failure as Wordsworth would never learn how to code and Coleridge would become convinced that a Chatbot was the voice of God.
Byron would’ve been on every social media and dating app, but William Blake would only have been on Bluesky
