Been more quiet due to cats' illnesses etc.

Likely still be a bit quiet
+ try and do more hobby things to help.
I do struggle to balance presence between the two.

I'll likely still keep up with news, even if not posting in my lil corner here, nor new (intense) blog posts.

Much love, much fight. x
Everything being so dark,
it's nice to remember positives wherever we can, and hope that it continues to spark progress, esp. with how much keeps being stripped away.

"Most violence happens in the home, not on the streets. [We had] a strategy to address it around four pillars: prevention, engagement, the victim’s journey, and rehabilitation.

That serious, practical work has now been pushed aside in favour of fearmongering and scapegoating." goodlaw.social/hudg

When did finger printing become something to be okay about whilst travelling?

We have passports, ones with chips, we have e-border security..

It's just one more level of being owned and stored that I very much dislike, esp. when not giving consent..

Friday was the 50th anniversary of the The Rocky Horror Picture Show release, which bombed at the time but quickly became perhaps the biggest, most durable cult classic in history, spanning generations in appeal.

So, let's do the time warp again, folks!

I've moaned about parliamentary petitions (for debates) doing more harm than good for trans people.

This is a petition I can get behind and have signed -

Please sign this. In my previous job I helped a client access this service. The staff at the referring clinic told me that there's a strong association with access to more timely abortion being blocked by violent and abusive (ex)partners. These are women we should support, not penalise.

Trump again just implied that the MMR vaccine causes autism.

Many studies have shown that there is no relationship between MMR vaccine and the development of autism.

This one followed every single child born in Denmark from 1991 through 1998 (n=537,303). There was no association.

Haven’t read all of Andrew’s (paywalled) piece – he does recognise @greenparty.org.uk as the "overtly left-wing" party people are looking for, right?

✅ Fair redistribution of wealth & power
✅ A foreign policy of peace & justice
✅ A Britain that celebrates diversity

All Green Party policy ☝🏼
"There is and remains an appetite for an overtly left-wing party that advances redistribution of wealth and power, a foreign policy rooted in peace and justice, and that champions the diverse Britain which so many are proud to be a part of."

Tired of hearing 'we need immigrants to staff the NHS & care homes' - as if we're a servant class.

Newsflash: immigrants do a variety of work, pay taxes, buy homes, raise families. Britain doesn't 'need us to serve'. We're here to live. Like you.

Autism was fully recognized as a distinct condition in 1943.

Tylenol wasn’t introduced until 1955.

Let's grade the way some of the major news sites are summarizing today's Trump/RFK announcement(s) on their homepages.

A grade of "A" is awarded for making crystal clear that the preponderance of scientific publications and expert opinion do not support a link between Tylenol and autism.

This administration doesn't care about science or the well being autistic people.

If the administration cared about autistic people, they'd make sure that those who need services are able to access those services. But this isn't about helping people, it's about spreading misinformation.
