This is another semi-regular reminder that hot people mask (I mean, look at @malyndae.bsky.social 😍) because masking is love and resistance and anti-fascist. Masking is community care, and community care is radical in this age. Be hot. Wear a mask.

They're trying to kill disabled children (and disabled parents/caregivers). This is eugenics. School is already not safe for vulnerable children due to the lack of mitigations for airborne diseases. This will make it so, so much worse.

So far it looks like Trump, Noem, and operation metro surge drained Minneapolis alone—not yet counting St. Paul, Bloomington, etc.— $203 million. This was a MAGA Trump assault on an American blue city. Nothing more. Start seeing it.

this is like saying "they want teachers to have professional licensing but they don't want parents to show a license to teach their kids how to read." it's only intellectually inconsistent if you are dumb or dishonest
Emmer: "Another reform they claim they want is they want ICE agents to identify themselves, to show identification. But they don't want identification for voters in elections. I mean, this stuff is just intellectually inconsistent."

First of all, that's despicable. It's never acceptable to lie about using deadly force on anyone.

Second, here are federal officers completely fabricating what happened when they charged Miramar Martinez with assault when they shot her five times.

the fact that Graham Platner is still a serious candidate is truly embarrassing. being a racist, antisemitic misogynist might be a requirement to be elected as a republican, but it should still be disqualifying for a democrat
I hadn't heard this shit until now and finding out Platner was all in on "black people don't tip" makes way too much sense. And it's a huge red flag for anyone who works in hospitality because it's not true. Everyone who's worked behind the stick knows who undertips and it's not the black community

I clerked for one of McMahon’s judge pals and let me tell you, this judge, who is one of the most restrained jurists I’ve encountered in over a decade of litigating, not only has steam coming out of her ears, but her ears are fire engine red and are whistling like a kettle. Goddamn.
hi, judge expert here, judges only do this when they're in extreme distress!

When I clerked, my chambers were right around the corner from Judge McMahon's and she was friends with my judge. This is extraordinarily out of character for her. It's emblematic of how bad the situation is with the government flagrantly abusing the judicial process and ignoring court authority.

Minnesota friends, while you’re out protecting your neighbors from ICE, please wear high quality respirators like N95s or KN95s to also protect them (and you) from disabling viruses.
Breaking: The CDC reports SARS-CoV-2 levels *quadrupled* in Minnesota in the past week.

Using harmonized wastewater estimates, we project 1 in 12 people in Minnesota are actively infectious. This is equivalent to a 59% chance of exposure in a room of 10 people....

I’m on day 34 of a horrible migraine that is getting worse with no relief & debating whether to go to the ER. So now I have the calculation of whether the airborne illness exposure and high likelihood that they’ll tell me I’m fine and being hysterical is worth it for the small chance of relief
show me a person with chronic pain or chronic illness and i'll show you a person who at some point has been indifferent to whether they lived or died

He played the same game under Biden and it’s why that administration brought him in to greenlight their push for COVID normalcy.
Jha says Oz is doing "a very good job overseeing CMS."

What that job has looked like: rescinding emergency abortion care protections, proposing a nationwide ban on trans youth healthcare, gutting Medicaid, and wrapping it all in a racialized fraud narrative

WE NEED YOUR HELP❗️It’s February 10, 2026, & rent is past due. I’m working with 7 different families who have been impacted by ICE & are now struggling to pay rent. I’m hoping to raise $6,082 to help pay the month of February rent for all of them.

ICE cannot be reformed, because its purpose is brutality. ICE must be abolished, and any candidate for office or officeholder who doesn't agree with that bare minimum doesn't deserve to hold office.
