I occasionally peruse job ads in my location (in order see if there is literally anything else I could do other than working in tech without starving) and I have to say we pay the people who care for our children & elderly a ridiculous pittance considering the responsibility we place on them.

every good idea I my brain manages to surface is triggered by engaging with material far outside the scope of my own work. a scene, a turn of phrase, sparks connection between previously unconnected ideas and it literally IS like a lightbulb going off.
Great culture can save lives. Literally.

I really don't care what's happening on X, if I did I would still be over there.

This will forever be better than anything Gemini can produce. Look at these voice actors.

If AI actually knew anything it would short circuit and die from impostor syndrome when confronted with this

But it doesn't...because it's just a garbage tool.

Once you start comparing the tech to the latest dystopian show, you can’t really walk it back to say how it might be good, actually.

OMG. this is art
This They Might Be Giants TONIGHT SHOW performance of "Birdhouse In Your Soul" from 1990 remains firmly lodged in my noggin thanks to the Tonight Show Band's full commitment and Doc Severinsen's incredible trumpeting... It took an already great song and made it transcendent.

please note that none of these injuries involved my beloved Mazzie, the feisty little Morgan mare who was my friend and partner for almost 25 years. I only came off her once in all that time, it was 100% my fault, and she prevented my dumbass from making the situation worse.
I have a titanium plate in my neck thanks to a horse. Also fractured my scapula, but that was a different horse. Broke my ribs twice that was yet a third horse. I can't even count the number of times I've broken fingers and so many, many broken toes.

They are also so fucking expensive, lol.
