After 2 years in the wilderness, I am back to a more retail social media. The last 2 years on Mastodon have been a bit frustrating, the interactions just seemed to dwindle. I don't have many original thoughts, but I do like to discuss others. And listen to music. Hopefully, I will find this here

What is the intrinsic value of gold these days? I know it has always been a way of storing wealth, but in a modern economy, how does it function. I can't pay for an amazon order with a sliver of gold.
