I think people don't need me to add on to the convo; but "Canadians are not Americans" is the simplest sentence to sum up Canadian identity at least I think, and its just not something that bluetick Twitter pundits understand at all.
More than that. Canada is the Tory loyalists and the refugees who fled political violence and war during the Merican revolution. For as long as there has been a United States of America, most Canadians have wanted nothing to do with their union.
