I've been thinking about the failed Dem response to the Dobbs decision. The court directly attacked a foundational issue of the modern Democratic party, and they responded how? By sending out more fundraising emails and texts?

Also, Obama was willing to make a "grand bargain" on social security, and was only saved by the GOP's unwillingness to work with him on anything

I guess it depends on what you mean by "colonialism ending" and "without violence"? Like, a lot of Caribbean islands became independent in the 2nd half of the 20th century without fighting wars of independence, but that's flattening out a lot of history?
