Pritzer gets the mechanics of authoritarianism – systemic intimidation, seizing control of elections, etc. – in a way others in national democratic leadership don't or won't say out loud.
Pritzker: "One of the reasons Trump wants to send troops into cities is bc he wants to be able to take control of the 2026 elections...if they've got troops in cities, & it becomes a kind of norm for people, then it won't be abnormal for them when they're going to vote having troops at ballot boxes"

There is no world in which it is normal for the president to publicly call upon his attorney general to hurry up and prosecute his political foes. It’s like the Watergate tapes but posted on social media. Let’s get a grip on what’s happening here.

You almost certainly aren’t going to get out of the war crimes tribunal by producing a letter that you solicited because you were aware that the legality of your orders was questionable.
Dems ought to be telling people now these letters are worth absolutely nothing.

I wonder if the statute of limitations are passed to sue all the stations that only showed the bad side of Osama bin Laden
Trump: "When 97% of the stories are bad about a person, that's no longer free speech."

ah so I see we’re back to the never-ending disinformation stress test for the entire healthcare community

Everything is 2020 again.
Trump: “We're going to have a news conference early next week on autism…It's out of control, autism, out of control. And I think we maybe have the reason why.”

Hmmm...I wonder what it means when 97% of the stories are bad about a person.

Who was convicted of 34 felonies and has fully embraced fascism to intimidate protection of the rest of his corruption like his partners Netanyahu and Putin.

I like this. Since under RFK Jr, Covid shots are now for people with underlying conditions that put them at risk, Michigan’s chief medical executive Dr. Natasha Bagdasarian states that not having the most recent Covid shot constitutes such an underlying condition.

“Government officials cannot attempt to coerce private parties in order to punish or suppress views that the government disfavors."This doesn't just constrain Democrats. It applies to all officeholders, including you. You took an oath to the Constitution not to Donald Trump.

Luckily, Sinclair has a helpful database of all their stations, so you can see if they're operating in your area and respond accordingly.

Don’t you dare call us fascists, they say, as they force people off the airwaves for criticizing them while vowing to crush and criminalize their opposition.

A free and democratic society cannot silence comedians because the President doesn’t like what they say.

This is an attack on free speech and cannot be allowed to stand.

All elected officials need to speak up and push back on this undemocratic act.

First Colbert, now Kimmel.

Last-minute settlements, secret side deals, multi-billion dollar mergers pending Donald Trump's approval.

Trump silencing free speech stifles our democracy. It sure looks like giant media companies are enabling his authoritarianism.

Q: Do you think it would've been fitting to lower the flags to half staff when Melissa Hortman, the Minnesota House Speaker, was gunned down by an assassin?

TRUMP: I'm not familiar. The who?

One of the reasons the right is convinced that violence is only directed at them is their ability to ignore and forget all the acts of violence committed against the other side of the aisle.

Ask Trump about the firebombing of Shapiro's home or the plot to kidnap Whitmer and I guarantee he'd whiff.
Reporter: Do you think it would have been fitting to lower the flags for Melissa Hortman who was killed as well?

Trump: Uh, I’m not familiar, who?
Recognizing that many of us are in different information environments is important. Additionally, there are a ton of deliberate misinformation outlets from other countries trying to sow discord.
I legit appreciate friends that sit, talk & discuss a topic.
A friend from the Midwest wrote me asking about anti-CK rhetoric & they knew I’d discuss it calmly. They only saw the good videos. When I showed her what I was exposed to she was flabbergasted.
This isn’t mine but same experience:

This story is WILD. Trump sent Seal Team 6 into North Korea to plant a listening device. The entire thing went sideways within minutes of landing when they noticed a fishing boat near the beach. They killed everyone on board, sunk the bodies to cover their tracks, and fled. Congress was never told.

If the Trump White House wants to ban all transgender people from owning guns because a handful were responsible for mass shootings, wait until they hear how many shootings straight cis white guys have done.

RFK JR: We're not going to recommend a product for which there's no clinical data for that indication—is that what I should be doing?

Warren: What you should be doing is honoring your promise that you made when you were looking to get confirmed in this job.
