It’s a valid concern!
Sometimes I worry that Kermit’s roles in the 90s contributed to a sainted version of the character, stripped of the bursts of frustration at having to manage an erratic troupe of weirdos. I also worry about more substantive things, too. Sometimes.

nwsl owners do not want to have the best league in the world, they want widespread mediocrity that they can position as 'parity' and 'the most competitive league.' it's literally the nfl model attempted in a sport with a global market that can and will leave the nwsl behind.

We don’t talk enough about the amount of “politics” (read: optics and popularity) go into the roster decisions for this team that don’t apply most other national teams.
I suspect each US head coach has to decide how much they want to fight the fed on roster decisions and I’ll be very curious to see how Emma Hayes handles that fight.
