It's such a sad thing about human nature - say you absolutely loathed a book and everyone wants to know what it was.

For the same reason they're also going to pay more attention if someone says a restaurant gave them food poisoning than if they say they had a nice meal.
I also now understand why this movie was not one of our family Christmas movies despite me being a 90s kid: my mother's big two hates in life are spiders and slapstick comedy
Watching Home Alone for the very first time ever. Far more invested in the mum's storyline than anything happening with Kevin. But I understand a lot of the references now.
