Big point of order here, this is taxis for medical appointments. They're not allowed much in the way of money. Like nearly nothing. How are they supposed to get to appointments?
Dismal framing. Every aspect of most asylum seekers’ lives is controlled & paid for by the Home Office. They can’t work, are told where to live & have no autonomy or dignity. So they aren’t *choosing* to use taxis & don’t need to be “banned” from doing so. The HO just needs to get its act in order.

90% of the disabled and chronically ill people who have been eligible for covid boosters in the past are also being denied boosters on the NHS now too.
It's a shame to focus on NHS staff specifically rather than just trying to get boosters back for everyone.

This boat, now in IWM London, came from a vessel that was attacked by a German naval raider in 1940. The raider's captain ordered his men to fire on survivors in other boats. He was later convicted of war crimes and died in prison.

So my brother works for an company that manufactures audio equipment and he's expressed an interest in moving to the research and design team.
They generally only accept graduates with a degree in audio engineering and he doesn't have a formal education in electronics but they've been supportive.
