Middle-aged enby. Planting a flag before Xitter hits the fan.
I mean, it's been that way for a while. This mess won't be cleaned up in our lifetimes.

I had a friend who had the Botox Face, and I kept my mouth shut because it was none of my fool business. Later, I find out it was the only thing keeping her from "I'mma just drill a hole in my head" migraines.
Oh the reveal

To be fair, it was also about making their people were constantly worried that any person outside their religious community was "one of them". Oh, and discrediting the media.

Fuckers can multitask, I'll give 'em that.
Right wingers love to attack the very concept of daycare centers. In the 80s and 90s, local outbreaks of Satanic Panic often involved daycare centers and their employees. And it’s all about trying to scare and shame women into quitting their jobs
Trump guys are about to Comet Pizza every third daycare center because they think they are all fronts for Somali money laundering. They're only doing this near cities with progressive mayors. This is straight up Government by LibsOfTikTok.

If "How Silly Can You Get" (which is the only serious thing in the movie) was released in the late 60s/early seventies it would have been a chart topper.

Also, the gimmick with Peter Cushing in the bookshop made it possible to have his digital homunculus in Rogue One.
Oh young and dewy Val Kilmer was the prettiest thing you ever saw! Funny too

The issue isn't the execs thinking it's farther along than it is. The issue is that the execs are worried about the stock price, and not the quality of service, and that they assume that any hitches can be worked out, and the customer will suck it up in the meantime. 1/?
The exec that said "we thought it was farther along then it was" is absolutely the greatest issue right now. Not only is it not capable of doing any of these things on a broad scale, it will do them significantly worse than any employee. Going all in on something to boost stock value that fails.
Honestly im shocked

Well

Not that shocked

My favorite part about this was that Twitter didn't do anything. They just left her there. She wanted a big moment of getting arrested, and instead eventually had to unlock her own cuffs and fuck off.
Handcuffed herself to one side of a double door on the Twitter building iirc
repeating “the lady who handcuffed herself to the twitter building has veto power over national security personnel” to myself over and over and slowly going insane

Ultimately, Facebook survives because it positioned itself as the primary resource for personal networking-- both finding people and keeping in contact with them.

I have friends who dropped Facebook and now I've no way to get hold of them, because we never bothered to exchange phone or email. 1/?
Facebook is where everyone I knew before 2005 hangs out
How do more people use Facebook? WTF??

I miss when I was a kid and watching V and thinking "Oh, come on, nobody would believe that scientists are in a conspiracy."

The sad part, of course, is that JMS wasn't prescient. He was adapting history.
Busted and in the back yard, or I'd fix this shit.
@straczynski.bsky.social Hi Mr Stracynski.

I said this to you a while ago but with recent events I feel it's once again important to state that I really loved Bablyon 5. But I much preferred it when it was conspiratorial and paranoid not prescient to the point of wondering if you had a time machine

"The mansion in the background" is a townhouse apartment, and it's probably got the square footage of a double wide. And not for nothing but after nine years he's still looking at her like he won the damn lottery.
Woman posts a happy photo celebrating her relationship with her husband who she met on Bumble.

And of course dudes in the comments being normal. 🙄

If one my faves is on the list, then they go up against the wall with everyone else. This isn't complicated.
"What if one of YOUR favorite politicians/celebrities/etc is on the list?" Did you all not notice how quickly we dropped Neil Gaiman when we found out about the things he did? Do you know how beloved that guy used to be and how loathed he is now? I think that right there should answer your question.

Adam Savage could give us explosions without getting the military involved.
I’m thinking someone like Tom Hanks frankly

For a while I was double-fisting Bluesky and Xitter, but my Xitter feed has slowly become full of garbage in which I am not interested and devoid of anything else, and I pretty much only open the site now if I'm reading a specific xeet.

This is not going to help.

It astounds me how many times I can re-read my own work, call it finished, and hand it off to someone else... only to have it pointed out to me that I'm missing words and the third paragraph just cuts off in the middle of the
Routinely. Reoeatedly. I have been *incredibly* fortunate in my editors. All of whom seem to have believed that their job was to make me look like a better writer than I (usually) am… and all of whom *made it happen.* ❤️

At that point it became amazing. #haveyoupunchedanazitoday

So I just had to look up what a Passport Bro is, and I gotta say, "I identify myself as someone who can't date locally" is a choice. I get how that kind of goon might see it as a good idea, but to make it their identity?
But the manosphere told me all women were gold diggers and will take a Chad with money and fame over anything.

I wouldn't give it the attention. I have yet to see a single thing to tell me that the whole franchise is just "we can now legally pee on it, so we're gonna." And watching you suffer holds no appeal to me, even if sometimes seems like God enjoys it.
I wonder if I could livestream myself watching the awful Popeye horror movies
October 3, 2025 at 4:32 AM
I think the thing I love most about Milholland's turn on Popeye is that, while fans of S*P can see his fingerprints all over it, it's not really a shift from the insanity Popeye has been up to for the last ~90 years, and some of the wildest turns have actually been pulled out of the ass of CANON.

I keep reading "they think he fired one shot from a rooftop" and no suspect description which suggests that nobody actually saw the shooter.

Perhaps I've missed something, but if that's the case... at this point the shooter is only going to get caught if they do something tremendously stupid.
I, like many people, have a sneaking suspicion I could do everyone in law enforcement’s job better than they could, but I have also worked security at large conventions and know how people can vanish into a crowd.

There’s a reason the Unabomber lasted for years.

Fantasy as a genre is kind of stale and games and books aught to get weirder with their fantasy, conversely scifi can be more fantastical without going full star wars

Star wars also needs desperately to go public domain

There are going to be people who will call the people who have been calling, mailing, etc, "hysterical" (again!!!) because the cuts haven't hit yet. The ghouls are banking on this.
Keep in mind that the cuts to Medicaid don’t go into effect until late 2026 conveniently after the midterm elections. Do not be fooled. Vote these ghouls out. Show up and VOTE in the midterms.
